In retrospect it probably isn't that bad, but when I first played it, having bought it myself at a Toys R Us, it was the most disappointed I'd ever been with a video game up to that point.
It's a mediocre platformer that interrupts itself to have you draw the graphics for it. Unless you spend a ridiculous amount of time perfecting details, the things you draw always look ugly and out of place compared to the (honestly pretty appealing) non-user-made characters and environments, so I never found drawing to be satisfying. When the game isn't interrupting the action with drawing, it's having you read through a mountain of text that would be more appropriate in an RPG. None of these elements are necessarily bad on their own (from what I've heard the story in these games isn't half bad), but it feels like much, much less than the sum of its parts.

It was a great idea to let players add their own art to a game. It's too bad that your character looks very out of place and that the game is about as bare-bones a platformer as it can be. I did always find it amusing that your character is basically stated to be an otherworldly spawn of God, though. Helps to justify the disparate art styles.
