Or, and hear me out here Capcom, you could just remake Outbreak?

From what I played of the public beta a while back, it was just yet another mediocre multiplayer third-person shooter with very little to make it stand out other than the universe it inhabits. I mean, it's mostly fine? It's perfectly playable but considering how there's only one game mode at the moment, it's not worth any sort of money. Feels more like a tech demo than a feature-complete beta. It needs some more game modes as well as longer matches to hold my interest for more than a week. For free though, this isn't bad. I hope Capcom greatly improves the game by launch and also doesn't abandon it as they did with Resistance. This has the potential to be something really good in the future but right now it's not worth the money

Re:Verse is a comically bad video game.

The gameplay consists of mosh pits where a bunch of monsters and humans are spamming abilities and whoever is lucky enough to land the killing blow gets all the points. It's hilarious. Oh and somehow the gunplay and visuals are terrible. I don't understand why this doesn't look or play similarly to RE2/RE3 since it's clearly re-using a lot of those models. It's the worst feeling shooter I've played in ages.

Ain't no way that Capcom is proud of this one. I think they were legally obligated to release this because it was advertised as part of Village. I refuse to believe that they released this on purpose and that the 18 month delay led to THIS.

Oh and there's a purchasable item that stops your MMR rank from dropping lmao

Obtained all the trophies during the beta

A very strange game. Just a bit of a mad shooter than relies on total craziness. Not the worst game I've ever played but it's a bit of a mess. Also how you can miss out so many characters when making a Resident Evil smash bros game is beyond me. I get they're adding them more down the line but I feel like that's an error. It's invertedly a Dead By Daylight competitor when I don't think that's Capcom were aiming for. Though it's somehow not as good.

Didn't get to play this much because my internet is horse cock but like, what were they even thinking? How did this game get delayed for over a year and STILL only release with TWO maps and some of the most unbalanced gameplay of all time!?!?! Even their roadmap only confirms one more map is coming. How do you expect to gain traction for your live service game when it takes an additional 18 months to come out past the game it was bundled with yet remains nearly identical to the beta! It's just baffling. A multiplayer RE game could be really fun but capcom just keeps fucking it up and yet still trying while learning almost nothing please just stop i'm begging you it's hurting.

I want to personally have a private conversation with the person who decided in a game where everything is an overpowered glass cannon that Jill Valentine should have one of the lowest health stats.

Nancymeter - finish it first/100

I am a complete sucker for janky online games and this game really scratches that itch for me LOL. RE: Verse is a 6 player free for all Chaotic shooter with some fun elements that will keep you playing for awhile. Now while I enjoy Janky games I will not deny there is a lot wrong with this game besides balance issues most of it stems from its delay to what we got at launch.

Not a lot has changed from the beta besides the fact you can really customize each characters skill set allowing you to make a vast variety of builds for each character in the game. My main issues are the fact that the game was delayed for so long yet it only released with 2 maps and 1 mode? what did they do during the timeframe of its delay? just add the character customization ? I mean I know we have a road map but still for a delayed launch its VERY bare bones at what you actually get. And the other issue like I said was balancing there are simply some characters that are INSANE compared to others mainly Ada imo she is a beast in this game and if played by a good player they will completely wipe the lobby. Actually I do have one last issue and that is bullet feedback I NEVER HAVE A CLUE WHEN I AM GETTING SHOT BECUASE THERE IS NO FEEDBACK OR ANYTHING TO YOU GETTING SHOT YOU JUST BETTER HOPE YOU SEE YOUR HEALTH GO DOWN.

Anyways past that the game is mindless fun and I really do think with more time and effort they can make this into a decent little game if they continue to update it with more maps and modes and character. I do enjoy playing as the bio even though there aren't many what is there is fun ( and of course Tyrant and Nemy are always a blast when you get 2 bios )

With crossplay this game will last for a bit player base wise I just really hope it gets well deserved updates as it goes on.

One of the resident evil games of all time

It was fun for 30 minutes, then people figured out the meta and it became so bad so fast. and there is also only 2 maps, like what then fuck, and why is there no way to invite your friends so you can play together online with others.

What happened capcom

This game truly and utterly sucks, but in a way that fascinates me. Capcom wants a Games As A Service Resident Evil so very badly, and their latest attempt is... a Deathmatch Arena Shooter that directly adapts the mechanics of the Resident Evil Remakes with no regard for how they would work in a multiplayer setting? In what world did they think this was going to be the new eSport that audiences clamour for?

I could talk about the individual mechanical decisions here that are not very good, (Chris having an ability that just lets him be invincible for 3 seconds, Ada spawning with a one hit kill crossbow, how its a score based game that is entirely based on getting Last Hits on enemies) but most importantly, There's a perk you can unlock in this game that protects how much MMR you can lose in a match. If Activision or EA ever realises this is a mechanic that they could sell to consumers this industry will be broken forever.

Can't FINISH this game ig but i played a good bit. It's dumb fun, awfully design, but I at least had fun.

Capcom ¿Que tan dificil es hacer un Outbreak File 3? Para que saques estas weas al parecer mucho.

I have no idea what they did for a year but nothings changed from the Early Access. This is only available to those who bought Resident Evil 8, so the servers will die after 1 year. No one was playing the day after it was released.

It has one mode, can't invite friends, you die and turn into a dead pear-shaped doodoo and its dumb

Really bad.

Making free for all the only game mode was the WORST possible mode for this game.
Being attacked by Jack Baker and Super Tyrant at the same time? Thrilling! Being shot by someone from across the map while fighting them? REAAAAALLY LAME.
I'd love to know why they didn't make it TDM humans vs creatures.

Fought two molded and weakened them, another player ran round the corner and killed those molded and got all the points? Just makes absolutely no sense, even as a mess around casual game.

Really not much good to say about this. I guess honestly I do think it's a decent idea for a game, it just needs WAY more work put into it, even if you do like the game mode, I don't believe anyone who says it feels nice to play, it's SUPER janky and unpolished.

This is like if Star Wars Battlefront was bad

Absolute drivel lol. Ofc was delayed, not promoted and shadow dropped. I dont like these sorts of games to begin with but it plays like ass, you cant party up with friends and it constantly soft locks your character. Servers will shut down soon im sure hah

interesting concept but an obvious cash grab

Wanna like it but like other reviews point out it has nothing to offer for content. I'd wait a few months for updates before trying this

you can get stunlocked by every monster

for fucks sake just make another Outbreak game if you want people to care about Resident Evil multiplayer

It's fun for the first 5 or 7 matches but then it just gets too repetitive. They really need to add more modes and maps to this game, right now, a simple deathmatch won't do. I see this game dying faster than RE Resistance and that game deserved way more attention.

A vapid multiplayer title stripped of all content that would make this interesting past the one hour mark. Re:Verse is yet another pathetic excuse for a multiplayer title farted out by Capcom. Instead of trying to sell this as its own retail product, it makes a bit more sense to package it alongside Resident Evil Village to try and create a large install base.

But to be honest with you, not long after launch, I was running into lobbies with the same people over and over again; nobody is playing this game two weeks after launch. This was both a blessing and a curse seeing as it was annoying to only be playing with people who clearly knew the meta and just tried exploiting that, but being forced to solo queue while you're playing with friends isn't that big of a deal when you end up together in matchmaking, anyway (that was with crossplay set to "on" too on a Friday night).

Pathetic is the nicest word to describe Re:Verse. Yet another obvious dud of a product Capcom attempted to shovel out in a slap-dash attempt to create some sort of recurrent user spending. Capcom should damn-well know by now that if it isn't Monster Hunter or Dead Rising they should give it a break with the multiplayer shenanigans. Umbrella Corp was more feature complete than this, and being negatively compared to that game is a big problem.

This is terrible. The gunplay makes shooting spitballs seem like actual combat, there is 0 feedback when shooting and when hitting your target, and the UI just sucks. Please avoid this at all costs.
