First and foremost, I really enjoyed Cal as the MC here. Seeing his growth and him having to retrace his steps of his training was great. Cere and Greez were great as the supporting cast, and I loved the little banter during and in-between quests.
Probably one of the more fun games I've played combat wise, and the exploration was sweet too. I loved the way new tricks for Cal were introduced.
All-in-all, a great game that was sealed with a good ending.

Fairly enjoyable game. The story was pretty good, but there were sometimes I wondered what the fuck we were even doing. Combat was fun, but it did make me want to pull some hair a few times-- not because it was too hard, but sometimes things just seemed to happen. Maybe I suck.
The shining part of this game was the exploration. It felt fun to use the force and romp around. But as someone not taken by cosmetics, I felt the reward for exploring to kinda suck. Overall, fun game, but looking forward to see what it's sequel does better.

Cons:
- Laggy area change (frames drop dramatically for a few seconds, annoying but not gamebreaking)
- Sound quality of voice acting is often not good enough (due to voices not sounding like they are in the specific environment, and often 2 people talking sound like they are at different locations)
- Metroidvania mechanic not as much implemented as I expected
- Too much repeat combats with respawned squads. And why do they respawn? It makes no sense that they respawn and no one cares about the massive losses.
- Scomp Link locked chests do net get marked on map
- Skill points are unlocked too fast
- Unnecessary push of left trigger to grab onto walls
Pros:
- NO microtransactions. I bought a game at full price and got the full game. The world is mad...
- Absolutely stellar combat mechanics
- Combat is not easy, but not frustrating either
- Excellent puzzles
- Satisfying exploration
- Acceptable graphics at decent frames
- Sound besides voice quality is very good
EDIT: Some animations are weird and story is not madly deep at this point. Combat is really fun although some boss battles do get a bit frustrating due to inconsistency in the outcome of defensive moves. Also enemy timings are sometimes near impossible due to having no que before hammering you.

This was essentially a nice palate cleanser for me after playing the absolute behemoth length-wise and emotionally that is RDR2, and for that I have to commend it!
The soulslike combat in Star Wars was an obvious but well fitting choice, with the lightsaber combat feeling good and actually requiring some skill (which I honestly wasn't expecting). The gradual item and powers progression is well paced and don't feel useless, as many of them will definitely become integrated into your gameplay which is honestly kind of rare for AAA games with these forced skill trees and such.
Mostly this games main downfall is jank, which is bizarre to think about considering the circumstance. You are telling me that a triple-A game got all the interesting mechanics and no bullshit stuff down, but it has all the jank of a lovable but small budget indie game? Especially one connected to the Star Wars IP, I would have guessed they would have sanded off all interesting edges before letting something where the parrying timing can be goofy and enemies glitch through the walls.
Story is whatever for me, I mildly like Star Wars and think it is interesting but the lore won't do much for me. The actual plot carried my attention enough where I would plug my headphones in for the dialogue though, so it has that going for it.
This game goes dirt cheap these days, so if you need something fun and quick in an age of 100 hour games, might as well pick this up.

This is one of the best Star Wars games ever made. The original story is awesome, the gameplay is challenging but satisfying, and Cal Kestis is one of the coolest original characters in a long time. Sometimes the game can be a bit too difficult and the gameplay has a lot of room for improvement but this is still a fantastic game that is worth checking out if you're a fan of the franchise.
