I really love Dungeon Crawlers and I loved this game's setting. In a way, it reminded me a bit of MegaMan Battle Network. The Rock-Paper-Scissors was cool, but it was a little stresful at times, mainly while fighting other Servants.

Most middling game play out there. Salvaged by strong characters with cool concepts and pretty good execution. Attempts to kneecap itself at the end with the world's most disappointing final boss (cool servant though). Despite all this, I would still recommend Fate/Extra to someone getting into Type Moon. (Not as your starting point though, just read /stay night).

Nero x Hakunon !F! carries this one I'm afraid

enjoyable for sure. i kind of hate that nero was the prototype for saberfaces but she's a really fun character, glad to see other returning characters. gameplay is kind of shit based on rps mechanics (i am very bad at it) but i liked it.

This would be one of my favourite games weren't the gameplay so boring, seriously, the school parts are passable, but the dungeons? Jesus, not only they are bland, it takes FOREVER to level up, and the battle system is stupid, unfair and unforgiving, I have to say that boss fights are enjoyable because they make you think very carefully on what you have to do, but all it takes is 3 attacks (in a row) from the enemy to get killed, it's just not a good combat system man
Meanwhile the story is pretty good, I loved Hakuno and their (you choose their gender) progress from someone lost and without purpose to a strong willed person...weird phrasing I know, the setting's cool too, like how spells are basically programming methods, "heal(8);" the Servants aren't too relevant because the focus is on Hakuno, but I still loved playing with all 3, Nero ended up being one of my favourite characters from this franchise

Ufff, this is for sure a game. Played 4 times, once years ago and 3 times now to see everything before the CCC patch. I enjoyed Nero route, I endured archer and when playing with caster I was in pain. The problem is how the story is boring for the most part. You are empty shell of a mc and things starts to get interesting only near the end. The gameplay is a chore and farming takes too much time. Considering I did this 3 time, I'll probably never play this again. Thanks god, on emulator you can cheat and play at 5x speed. Play this game only if you are a Nasuverse fan, it has some fine fan service but if you are reading this you probably are already one.

The amount of soul this game has makes me forgive it for making me watch the four second item use animation like 80 times to get Saber's Thunderous Applause.

Decente

I am 100% horny for Nero. And I will be even more if only they say something about that incoming remake of this game. What happened?

Love the story for this but my God that combat is just rock, paper, scissors.

I played the game 2 times and the combat sucks and the story is good

Not what I'd call a 10/10 and it's certainly not one of my favorite entries in the Fate series but It's good for what it is. Also helps that whichever of the 3 servants you choose from each have different interactions with the protagonist so it doesn't feel stale if you wish to play all 3 campaigns.

One of the most mind-numbing and excruciating combat systems of all time with some of the weakest dungeons out there, albeit combined with a great story and the usual themes expressed that I've come to expect out of TYPE-MOON and Kinoko Nasu's works. I really don't think there's very many games that are simultaneously as bad and as good as Fate/Extra.

SABER MY EMPEROR caster's great too BUT SABER KYAA

Hakuno's development from no one to someone (idk the right words for it) is amazing and by far my favourite part of the game.

Settings cool I LOVE THE MOON, ost is good and i liked the gameplay, it wasn't full random cause there's set patterns but it is a lot of trial and error dungeons were ass though.

Thematically confused and preoccupied more with mediocre servants and very spaced out plot points. I picked Caster, so the first 4 weeks were basically blank canvas mc has an identity crisis while getting sexually harassed, but the last 3 weeks had a bit more of an interesting plot going on. I particularly enjoyed the final antagonist's very very limited screen time. I don't blame the story for being less compelling than FSN, but it's pretty generic even as far as PSP JRPGs go. The setting is okay, I like the water and the 1s and 0s but other than that it's SAO lol. Translation is decent, if not poorly researched with some terms (Demon Eyes).

The battle system is overhated, but I wouldn't call it underrated. It's serviceable and has strength in the 1v1 servant battles, but fundamentally misunderstands the appeal of turn based combat, by not having staple features like team-building, equipment etc. The trial and error aspect is overblown, as well as the grinding. The dungeons are weak, and use the same textures and layouts from week 1 to week 7. You won't get your dungeon crawling or turn based fix from this.

I recommend if you're a Fate fan and want to see what they were cooking in 2010, if you're a JRPG fan play something else. Soundtrack cool.

Bottom 5 combat in a JRPG or any game ever. Fun story though and Hakuno is actually a pretty interesting silent protagonist. Music and atmosphere are the best part of the game. Excited for CCC!

having to constantly look up guides for the enemy rock-paper-scissors pattern is so tiring

ahhh worst game I've ever played

Great game. I really enjoyed the rock paper scissors battle system - thought it was really unique but I think the game felt formulaic by the end

This game is not for everyone, but very good story.

The game takes place in the year 2030 where wizards have been called by the moon (literally) to play the holy grail war. Whoever wins will be granted their wish and whoever loses will die.

With that premise you are Hakuno Kishinami, one of the masters selected by the moon to fight for the holy grail. Problem is that you have no memories and you are trapped in a game of life and death.

Taking into account the limitations of the psp you manage to create a quite successful environment. You will advance through the story, with a very good plot and great plot twists, meeting enemies, allies, as yourself. Through what can be classified as endless dialogues, I would classify the game as a visual novel, you will get to know Hakuno's thoughts, how she feels for not knowing anything, the fights she faces...

It is quite replayable being able to play with 3 servants who will accompany you and quite well known today by fans of the franchise.

The main problem of the game, and why I recommend a miracle to happen and release its remake before 2030, is the combat system. It is a turn-based rpg that is played with rock-paper-scissors, although it is interesting because you learn the patterns of the enemies (usually tend to use certain combinations) the system becomes heavy, and not difficult that in new area enemies kill you because you do not know their attack pattern.

Has some good parts and the My Room stuff is pretty consistently well written but felt most defined by when I got to the route split, said "okay now hopefully we start getting enemy masters who are interesting people with internality" and then watched Lil Ronnie walk onscreen.

Great music, great visuals, but playing a second time to see the other route completely broke me. Just really turned me into a shell of a person.
