Played on Kingdom hearts 1.5 +2.5 ReMIX for the Playstation 4.

I played this game for the first time a few days ago. The first thing I can say, clear as day, is that this game is very very good. Although it isn't my favorite game in the series.

It's honestly fascinating to me that this game exists in the first place, it seems like such an outlandish idea for square enix to collaborate with disney, one of the biggest media companies in the world to create a game like this. The fact that it also happened is absurd to me.

The story of the game is fairly simple for the most part, it has the least amount of scale and is left fairly contained contained between 5 or so key character, with many more side characersd who help or guide sora through his first adventure.

The gameplay is not bad at all, sora controls fairly well, though he feels much better to play in fiture mainline games. The only thing I have problems with his movement is that his jump can be fairly difficult to learn, it has a very floaty feel, and with the camera can be much harder to land some jumps across gaps.

I will also add that the camera is my biggest problem with this game, for me, it feels like its way too close to sora for how some battles can go, it can also get caught on geometry in weird ways.

The combat itself is very good, it feels very responsive and clean (for most encounters). Magic never feels too impractical and are often more useful than i thought, and donald & goofy rarely feel like a hindrance during fights.

Personally, I think this is a very good first impression of a completely absurd idea, and just all round a fairly good game.
