This game feels like Squeenix took every single lesson they learned from the PS1 trilogy of Final Fantasy games and made a very polished product. I very much enjoyed my time with it.

2022

A great little indie Adventure game with a lot of charm. Tunic expands on the formula of games like Legend of Zelda with a little more in depth combat, stellar visuals, and some fun meta-theming

This is one of the most important RPGs on the SNES. While I do believe that 6 is the stronger game, Final Fantasy IV laid the groundwork for how the series (and a good portion of the genre) would tell stories. It was my intro to the genre, and I've now sat down and played through it all the way for the first time.

I just could not bring myself to finish this game. The combat was some of the best of the series, but I had no interest in whatever I was doing. Nocturne bounced you from place to place, with new locations being perfectly paced. SMTV keeps you in broader, more open maps that are ultimately kinda boring. The clunky movement, lack of detailed maps, and odd map design all work to make this game feel more padded than it really should be. Maybe I'll come back around to it eventually, but I just couldn't bring myself to finish it now.

Ethan's reaction to anything and everything that happens always makes me laugh.

343 have redeemed themselves after creating two really mid Halo campaigns. Now they've made the first Strand-type Halo game.

I can imagine if this was the only game I had as a kid, I wouldn't mind.

What if Wario Land was actually fun to play?

A pretty fun and basic Fire Emblem game. No big gimmicks, the story is good if a bit generic for the series, and the gameplay is solid Fire Emblem fare. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it.

Fighting the Ender Dragon is overrated
