Old review I did ages ago:

Green hill zone is a great level but the majority of the game is slow and poorly aged

Updated Review:

After replaying it, I think I've changed my mind on it, the majority of the game is pretty fun. It's more platforming focused, but speed can be earned quite fairly. Most of the levels are pretty fun besides Labyrinth Zone. There are a lot of cheap hits throughout the game, but due to the punishment of getting game overs being low on mobile version (which I played on), its not that bad. Game graphically has aged like wine and the music is sublime too. Worth a play on the mobile version with controller for sure.

Would be 4.5 stars if the online was better lol

It seems fun, but the online is dead so I can't really get matches lol

Only pokemon game I could enjoy for some reason

Surprisingly fun platformer, it's short but enjoyable

Fun gameplay, unengaging story. Great character writing in supports. Solid entry.

A very flawed game. The first half is weak. The character writing is limited. The gameplay is repetitive (however is still satisfying). The second half is insane and the connections to the second game are insane. I'm glad to have played it.

Updated review: In hindsight the game is exceedingly average lmfao

It's very short, but it's good. The story isn't spectacular like the ending of XC1, but it is full of small character moments and development I enjoy. Gives us a greater understanding of Melia as a person. The gameplay is XC1 at it's best without the frustrating grinding. A cool addition to XC1

Not as good as the first game. But still a pretty incredible experience. I like the themes it tackles like the benefits and detriments to religion, the cycle of revenge, forgiveness and identity. The protaganists are morally grey which makes them extremely interesting in how they interact with other characters and what choices they make. Both of their arcs are extremely well done. Gameplay was pretty awesome, resources are limited so you have to try to be stealthy usually, can make for some tense moments. And the checkpoint system takes away any frustration for me. Amazing graphics, best I've ever seen. Music was forgettable besides some scenes. Ending was incredible, yet melancholy too. Raw game

Probably my favourite Metroid game for multiple reasons. First of all, it has the best combat in the (2D) series due to the melee counter. It's a simple addition, but it makes combat feel way more involved and action based. Secondly, it has my favourite powerups in the series like the spiderball, a powerup that slows down time and the classic ones like the screw attack. Thirdly, I like the map design, due to it being a remake of a gameboy game, map design is more linear, I honestly prefer this personally because it makes the progression feel more streamlined to me. It also has great atmospheric music and is one of the best looking 3DS games ever made. Only complaint is that some bosses are repetitive, but other than that, I like this game. Wish it sold well, RIP

A pretty great spinoff. Not a great prequel. Age of Calamity shares a lot of similarities with the first Hyrule Warriors where it feels like fan fiction but with pretty great but repetitive gameplay. It does feel like an evolution though, it feels a bit more complex this time with the dodge mechanic and the runes. But the story isn't exactly amazing, it's basically a prequel but with time travel shit where it removes all the character deaths and stakes so you can play as more characters, which is fine, but it's not a very good prequel to BOTW. Which is fine because I never expected that of it, like BOTW I suspected the marketing would be a bit misleading and here we are, I expected awesome but repetitive gameplay and it definitely delivered on my expectations and even surpassed them. Wish the camera and framerate was better but it's still great.
