I love the characters, I wish this game was long enough to enjoy them. The music was really good, too.

I really like flying and hoarding monster eggs. I also really like huge dinosaurs watering my crops for me. I can do both, so this is top tier for me.

I never knew anything about FF7 before I played this and now I'd die for every single one of them.

It's not great. As an obsessive Animal Crossing fan, I've loved every single one, but this one is just.. probably the weakest out of all of them.
The music is really forgettable because most of the songs are really soft. I do particularly love 5 am, though.
The villagers are sorted into their specific personality categories and now mostly share the same 10 lines with everyone else in that category.
You can put furniture outside now, but for some reason, you can't put rugs outside? Crafting is.. fine, but there's no durability bar on the tools, so you never know what's gonna happen until they break, which means you have to make brand new tools anytime you want to go anywhere. Fun.
Nintendo looked at how popular the game was and said "Let's.. NOT update it, actually." Besides the couple of minor updates (They never did fix buying clothes, they took out almost every shop from New Leaf besides the absolute bare bones basics AND they still never added that third Nook shop?!) and a single paid update, this game got completely abandoned.
Also, they took out multiplayer minigames and the island. WHY? Why would you do that? Now having friends come over means nothing more than looking at scenery and trading items for a few minutes.

This really could have been amazing, but.. you know? Here we are.

It's a game that has a lot of potential to be good if the devs keep working on it, but it's not good right now. There's so much wrong here..

There's a million items and by the time you ever figure out what to do with anything, your bag is completely full. There's only a single chest where everything goes, no filters.

The characters are.. bland, even when you talk to them, you get no real idea about their personalities. I talked to a few people for the first time and before they said anything about themselves, they just complained about another NPC and walked away.

You can't view tutorials more than once, so try to screenshot everything. The town isn't really a town, everything is in a straight line along a river and some things are a pretty far, slow walk. I have no idea where to get items I really need, like hay for my animals.

When you shop at the store, you can only buy the limited amounts on the shelf. For example, I tried to buy potato seeds. You also have no idea how long seeds take to grow until after you buy it. I got 8 and it disappeared from the shelf. So I guess the limit is 8 a day? Same with bait. You can only buy one of each every day. What am I going to do with one bait?

In order to upgrade my farm, I need items that I've never seen before. I have no idea how to get them, even after about 20 hours of playing, and no one will tell me. I can't check the wiki, either, because it's completely empty.

They gave me a torch as a starting weapon, but no clue where to get any new ones. They don't tell you anything. If you're trying to find a certain NPC, good luck. The map doesn't tell you where they live at all and everyone just kind of wanders around everywhere. The town is so big that it's a gamble if you find them or not, really.

There's just a lot wrong with the game right now, I don't recommend it at all until it's updated a little more.

I was so excited to see this game get announced since I used to love it as a teen, but this is not at all what I wanted. It's kind of a sanitized, soul-less version of the original with almost none of the charm. There's a few things that are much worse about this game, which you see pretty quickly. Besides the design and name changes to some of the characters for some reason, digging for treasures doesn't really give any satisfaction either, since you can see the treasures before you pick them up. Animals don't die, which some people might find better. I think that takes away any reason for me to really care about them unless I really need S-tier food. It just makes everything a little more boring, with no real urgency to do anything. The controls are awful, too, and I still have no idea how to see missions once you accept them.
There's some things that this game does better, like giving you ability to speed through text, control cameras in the field area where you plant crops and skip the intro where you meet everyone. That and you can save and load anywhere, which is nice.
It's not as god awful as I expected, but it's basically a dumbed-down child version of the original game, but for the same price as the original.

(Also, I want back my cow with her blue eyes and giant head! The dot eyes stare into your soul.)

I absolutely love this game. Some parts are way more difficult than they needed to be and some things are really far away and tedious to collect, but under all of that, I absolutely loved it. Only real problem I had was that multiplayer crashed a lot.

It's fun, I like all of the new characters. But I do very much miss having more control over my Smash attacks. They feel very.. Not as fun now. I can't control how I move as Pikachu anymore and that's a crime. I also miss SSE. (And where tf is things like Break the Targets? Can I trade some characters for the old game modes??)

It's Slime Rancher, who doesn't love that? But it's so early access, it's missing almost everything from the first game. Most of the slimes are the same from the first game, with just a few new ones. There's (currently) no missions for other characters, extra areas for characters, drones, two-way teleporters or anything else like that. I finished the game very quickly, so I'm just waiting around for more content. Otherwise, who doesn't love Slime Rancher? It's great otherwise.

Have you heard the Pichu Bros. song? That's all that matters.

I spent a long time wandering around, waiting for time to pass and praying to find the right materials I need to build the things I have to build to proceed in the story. That's about it. That's all the game really is. It's cute for a while, I like the collecting and making things, but after a few hours..

Really cute and fun, but also really short.

2022

The game is fun and extremely time consuming because finding bees is 70% knowing what you're doing (it's usually vague and implied) and 30% luck that you get the bees you want. You can sleep, but you can't speed the bees up too much without a certain flower, so it's a LOT of waiting and praying and micromanaging in the meantime. It's pretty good, but man.. The multiplayer is extremely glitchy.
