This is a game so powerful in its ambition and realization of 25 year old dreams that it feels like it shouldn't exist. Definitely flawed in certain areas, but the multitude of extravagant lusciously-detailed JRPG cities, impeccable character writing, and engaging action combat make up for anything and everything. This feels like a videogame from an alternate timeline. Its an incredible and monumental achievement in the creation of digital worlds. This game has the type of charisma, whimsy, heart and charm that has been sorely lacking from AAA efforts for the past decade. I'm so glad I got to have this experience and I can't wait to see what new old worlds they'll invent for Part 3.

they got every sort of ghoul in this one. theres a secret skeleton boss that learned how to fly

had a great time w/ this game! Exactly the style of retro 3D platformer i love. Wonderful & unique art design in the hub and each one of the worlds

if you buy the DLC you can listen to LONELY ROLLING STAR on any stage so this might be the greatest game release in history

Walking through Kamurocho and Sotenbori in the updated Dragon Engine is an immaculately beautiful experience but I didn't feel very invested in the story or combat this time around.

However - the 1 heat action where Kiryu throws a dude in the river made me laugh out loud for a few minutes so this entry is definitely worth checking out even if it ends up feeling a bit half-hearted

i like that you can make the little plumber jump backwards style

masterful 3d level design. too many tutorials. few hours too long. weak ending. still enjoyed it a lot!

the previews for this game made me imagine a huge Hitman-style island that would require perfect planning and execution to assassinate all targets within a loop's limited time window. instead, this follows the Dishonored mission structure with a different style and more complicated premise. for now, I'm glad that Majora's Mask and Outer Wilds exist.

1 of the best 3d platformers ive played in a while. perfect mix of chibi robo & pikmin w/ wide open levels to explore. hell yes. immediately an important entry in the gnome/little fella video game canon

probably the hugest game ever created. gotta respect it

i believe from software will make something better within 6-9 years

i cannot believe this game is real. so much charm, love, and visual flavor packed into every molecule of this game. great blend of 90s lucasarts adventure games + jumping on neat stuff

i slurped this game down no problem
