One of the best of these kinds of indie 2D platformers. Love the way levels continuously build on new mechanics and slowly get you to the point of doing some pretty intense platforming, especially on the b-sides. I really like the mechanics involved in climbing/grabbing onto walls and the way it combines with the double jumps to really make some super tough but creative and fun levels. The story, while not really my thing, eventually earns its metaphor, especially in how it ties into the gameplay.

An absolutely delightful combination of a 3D platformer and an adventure game. I love games about getting to know an eccentric cast, learning their daily routine, needs, and wants, and helping them with their problems to make their lives better (see: Chulip, Windfall Island in Wind Waker). I also love just being able to do some cleaning along the way to an objective, and I love any game about being a small thing in a big house, it's such a fun setting to explore. It's a shame what happened to Chibi-Robo, he absolutely deserved better.

Man, the turntable is so fucking cool and fun to play with, for some reason I can wrap my head around it a lot easier than the plastic guitar and its just more fun to use. The feeling of scratching and throwing the record back to rewind is insanely fun, and the way the game has you isolate different parts of the track sounds so cool. This game's soundtrack is almost all mashups and almost all of them work incredibly, I still listen to them regularly. With all that and being able to unlock and play as Daft Punk, of course this game would earn a place in my heart.

I could never expected this game to be as good as it is. Not just in playing it, but also the story, characters, enemy and character design, it's all so good and it's all working off of an NES game and a Game Boy game. Seriously needs a remaster or sequel on the Switch, more people need to be able to play it and it would fix the problem with the controls (which I never had too much trouble with, probably because I'm strong and cool).
I LOVE this game's look. They made these characters look so nice in 3D, and the aesthetic of the menus and design of the enemies and levels are great. The combination mechanic is awesome, and it's a joy to find out what each combination does. It does have the problem that I have with many Kirby games where the game will have a collectable that requires a certain powerup or combination of powerups, and if you didn't pick it up among the several different powerups before reaching this collectable you have to do the whole level again. Still, an very charming and fun entry in the series. Thank you for Adeleine, Ribbon, and the Ripple Star Queen.
