A charming, colorful, and satisfying gameplay loop that builds upon the predecessor in every way possible. One of my favorite indies to date.

Great reminder of the wonder Nintendo still holds over the gaming market to this day. Always fun no matter who I played it with, great way to have started out the Switch's life cycle with.

I've failed to really grasp onto Puyo Puyo as a whole, and I didn't find any of the side modes that engaging. Enjoyed the Tetris aspect quite a lot though and the story mode offered a neat time from what I played.

My favorite indie to date, and one of my favorite games period. A master in visual and audio flair, wondrous design, and pin-point precision difficulty. A hallmark of its genre.

It's still quite insane such a bizzare idea works in the first place. General traversal and puzzling was incredibly disengaging but I'm a huge fan of the goofy charm and incredibly well tuned battle system. Interested to see where this IP goes.

An even better experience than the game itself. It improves in almost every category, but isn't a full leap a sequel will hopefully deliver on.

I absolutely adore the art style and polish like most but it translates into some of the most frustrating and janky gameplay I've experienced. I think it's well worth checking out for most though.

I don't think a video game will ever be able to recapture the magic this game held through a first playthrough. With that being said, flaws (Dungeons, story, enemy variety, etc) hurt my experience the more looking back. Still one of my favorite Switch games and a must own for any new buyer.

This brings back so many great memories of that first holiday with the Switch, getting this game, and grinding the hell out of it with family and friends. I try to go back every once and a while but with how slimy it's ecosystem has been since it went free to play I've sadly lost a lot of interest.

Perfect game to fit the "pick up and play" motto. It's nothing amazing but it's a nice title to have in the library I know I can usually fall back on for a few minutes.

You can't quite ever screw up the Tetris formula, and at heart that stays consistent in 99. There's a little too much BS that happens in the moment for me that detracts from the tactical aspect, but I still highly respect it for trying something so wildly new.

In retrospect, Odyssey is such an peculiar continuation of the beloved series. We're all aware of the perfect game play formula mastered once more that almost every Mario game seems to hit, but it's evolution to this point is interesting. It takes many wild risks compared to its former, more tame entry, 3D World, yet still has a much more lighthearted and grounded feeling than the Galaxy series. It equates to a surprisingly fresh and sprawling adventure that teems with pure enjoyment and fun. It's a shining example while I'll always consider Mario the king of videogames, and I can't wait to see how this same attitude is addressed in a sequel.

Either this game has just an insane difficulty curve or is shoved in with way too much bullshit. Either way, it's always a hell of a time.

This is easily one of the best multiplayer experiences I've ever had. I never get bored of the silly as hell controls and environments, consistent map updates keep me coming back frequently, and I've gotten more laughs out of it then I can count. Could not reccomend enough to someone looking for a good multiplayer game on any platform.

I'm a fan of the rouge-lite genre, and while this one didn't do it as much as I would have hoped, it's still quite a fun time returning to every once and a while, even with a seemingly sharp and sporadic difficulty curve. No Isaac but still pretty good.
