I'm a big fan of 360 games, but I never got around to playing the first two games, and I'm finally making up for it. Overall, I really enjoyed my time with Halo CE, aside from some of the backtracking portions, but they weren't too bad. I especially enjoyed the tense and eerie atmosphere leading up to the flood reveal. It was a perfect way to lead into a complete shift in the game's tone.
And I have got to say the anniversary edition's graphics were really something else with how they managed to ruin the vibe of every level when I swapped to see how it looked compared to the original. Just worse in every way.

Sekiro is hands-down the best FromSoft game. I never thought I'd see the day that Bloodborne got topped. I heard that this was a favorite of a lot of people, and now I know why. Having one move set with some variation of prosthetics and Shinobi techniques allowed them to fine-tune every boss to perfection. Because there are no stats to allocate or other weapons to find, when you are struggling with an encounter, you know it's because of your own skill not being good enough and not that you built your character wrong. It allows you to go at the enemy again and again, learning each time and improving until everything just clicks, and you wonder how you were even struggling in the first place. I really hope that we get another game like this from FromSoft in the future. I'll be looking forward to when that game gets announced.
Alan Wake 2's layers of narrative are unlike anything that I've experienced before. This is a game that expects you to actively engage with and theorize about what is happening because it will not be holding your hand through it, and I love that. From a purely narrative standpoint, this game is a masterpiece, but as a whole, it is slightly weighed down by some of its gameplay elements that I am willing to overlook because of the focus on its story over gameplay.
