SMBW is a truly incredible game that completely overturns the panorama of 2-D platformers, the levels of the various worlds always have different mechanics, the wonder flowers are also beautiful and the shape of the level completely changes, plus there are also new power-ups (the elephant mushroom, auger or the bubble flower) which necessarily serve to discover various secrets or give you a great hand in the levels. Furthermore, in this game badges have been added that give particular powers such as gliding, climbing a wall, running faster or making a higher jump. Here, although these also serve to help you in the levels, some badges are much stronger than others. If I had to list the flaws of the game they would be two:

the character roaster, now I understand the implementation of characters that make the game easier but was there really a need to put five differently colored yoshis instead of bringing back characters like lusamine or implementing some never seen before like Wario or Waluigi?

the second flaw in my opinion is the lack of more detailed and complex levels for the badges given that their challenges are more about just getting used to it.

for the rest, the game truly remains a masterpiece in the gaming panorama and a must have for all platform lovers and my final rating is 9. 6.

since I finished the ps1 version I understood how the remake for wii is really subpar compared to this one, I really loved all the levels and the bossfights and with an engaging plot and a truly bitter ending, especially for those times, the gameplay although simple, it remains fun with colorful levels full of character and with a slightly high difficulty (although it is much more likely that I am simply very bad at platformers hahah) my final rating for Klonoa: Door To Phantomille is 8.7

Honestly this game also has some nice mechanics but after a while it gets boring
