Brilliant puzzle game where you control two characters each of them operating in a different plane. Toodee in 2D perspective and Topdee in isometric.
Is an ingenious idea with many levels and various different mechanics that progressively get introduced. The music is ace as well.
The only thing I genuinely hated are some auto-scrolling levels that totally changed the approach of the game. This is the kind of game that you carefully inspect the level to find a solution and suddenly those levels make you do that in a couple of seconds. Thankfully they were only 5 of them.
Highly recommended for puzzle lovers.

I'm not the gamer that value story over gameplay, but I really enjoyed the game due to its great story and characters. The main cast was great and after so many hours it really felt like you've spent a whole school year with them.
The gameplay was good, but I expected more. I think it was really, really easy even on Hard. Unlike SMTV were I put a lot of thought in fusing personas in P5R I just fused without caring at all. The palaces were interesting, but mementos was lame as hell imo.

The story was legit great but, I really didn't like anything that happened after Shido's defeat. Up until that point the game had an almost realistic take on the jrpg genre with a bunch of teens battling corrupted and influential adults. Then suddenly the game introduces a holy grail God and becomes a jrpg clichefest of our team saving the world from a malevolent entity. On top of that nothing seemed to change even after defeat. IMO Shido's defeat would be the ideal point of ending the story.

Loved it so much I finished it in two days.
Clearly influenced by Obra Dinn, but with its own character. Visuals are surprisingly charming and the ost is very nice. The story is legit great spanning many years. Each case is fantastic, some more complex than others, but all equally entertaining. If you like detective games this is one of the goats.

PSA: The Switch version has a bug where the game resets your progress when you exit it! It doesn't happen to everyone, but it did happen to me. Ridiculous that it's still unpatched.

This is a game that the more I played it the more I thought it has the wrong kind of levels. Gaining momentum and fly through the levels super fast is really fun, but instead of having short, linear levels it has big 3D ones. So you have to frequently stop, change directions, jump precisely and wall climb. Each and every one of these kills the momentum. And then you have the time trials levels where the difficulty is all over the place. Some of the easiest ones are almost impossible to even complete. Did they even play test this thing?
I wish I could recommend it, but it feels like it's sabotaging itself.

Really fun, short arena fps where you basically fly and shoot in bullet time. The game is around 2-3 hours long, but surprisingly feels like the ideal length since otherwise the gameplay would become stale. I mean you just go from arena to arena, there's nothing in-between.
It's also the first fps I've played in my entire life that thought "this should be played with a mouse and keyboard".
I have finished hundreds of fps games with a controller just fine, but this one made my hands hurt. Even if you enable gyro and auto aiming the last level is brutal. Not the game's fault, it's just too hectic.

That's a great game. A true love letter to Contra and Metal Slug, but with its own character instead of feeling like a copycat. Graphics, soundtrack, controls are all superb. The only thing I didn't like is how bullet sponge-y the bosses are. Most of them have two phases and you can spent minutes fighting them only to start all over everytime you lose. Especially the last boss is some major bs and I didn't even care to beat it. I don't have patience for frustration in my life anymore.
Otherwise it's a great game.

Fantastic metroidvania with emphasis on platforming. Honestly the only flaw I can think of is that sometimes your character's sprite is blending with the background. Also the story is heartwarming.

The third part of the trilogy is similar to the first two, but equally enjoyable.

Here is the thing with OT2. It's a better game than 1, but it doesn't do anything substantially different. This is why I find strange when some people call this a masterpiece while look down on 1. It certainly adds a lot of qol improvements, but the main core of the game is the same.
The main party interacts more, but still feels like eight travellers that simply share the road instead of a company of heroes.
The battle system is the same with some additions of some extra moves which barely add an extra layer of strategy. Having also 16 different skills outside the battle is an overkill and a perfect example of "just because you could, doesn't mean you should". Just like the first game apart from steal and guide most of them are useless, but now they are 16 of them!

It's bizarre that I sound negative for a game that not only I actually enjoyed, but I also believe it's superior to its predecessor. It's that based on the reviews I expected a major jump in quality, but what I got is just an improvement.

When I first started OT I had to drop it because I couldn't stand the random encounters. Even after deciding months later to continue I still believe this is its biggest flaw. There's also the problem of having a big party that barely interact with each other. I don't mind the individual stories, in fact I feel it's a nice change for a jrpg to have a more down to earth story. But it feels like 8 characters that simply share the main path instead of an actual party.
The battle system is fantastic, one of the best when it comes to turn based. The break system is simple in theory, but adds a lot of depth in the combat system.
The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. The 2D-HD design perfectly marries the old school feeling with the modern approach. Not a mystery why SE adopted it in many other games. The music is legit one of the best in history. It's jaw dropping good.
Overall it's a very good jrpg that I would definitely recommend.

This is one fun game. You can name many flaws here, the open world is empty, the sidequests can be tedious, the motion controls feel gimmicky. But in the end NMH oozes style. It's fun as hell, Travis is a great protagonist and the bosses are all great. Plus the cel shaded graphics look good even today (at least in HD).

That's a great game that utilizes the gamepad in many clever ways. All the minigames are fun even the F-Zero one, the only that feels overly gimmicky. Both the multiplayer and the single player ones have enough content to be played multiple times. It also looks gorgeous, it's legit one of the most beautiful games out there. BTW the DK Crash Course is legit one of the most difficult games ever made.

Ok first of all the game is drop dead gorgeous and has some of the most cozy locations in a video game. The story is serviceable. The game itself is a perfectly fine rpg with monster catching mechanics. Unfortunately the AI of your monsters can be frustrating as hell, but I found the game easy enough to not make me angry.
Lovely game.

It's easy to think it only works because of its meme status, but it's a legit fun beat em up with insane graphics.

An essential entry since it's the first multiplayer 2D mario and it works great. It took everything from the first NSMB game and made it better (well besides the cool minigames).
