Scratches that Slay the Spire itch of building a deck you think is going to the moon only to realise too late that the game's already caught up with you.

As frustrating as this game could be most of the time, I couldn't find it in me to stop playing. The fact that the game drops you in this world with no context or direction had me wandering deeper and deeper and higher and higher in search of anything I might consider progress. The moments I did finally find something important were incredibly impactful because it truly felt like a discovery. The ending didn't really satisfy me, like the rest of the game it felt like after a bit of stumbling around I came across something of note except this time, it caused the credits to roll. I mostly enjoyed the moment to moment, managing to survive in a world where most things want to eat you, but some of the more platformer-heavy elements of the game really detracted from the experience.

Forgot how fun this game feels, incredible replayability between the powers unique Emily and Corvo, and playing with the chaos system. I still find low chaos to be my favourite way to play. Can't believe you can just straight up solve Jindosh's riddle and skip Dust District, I love the options this game offers.
