Great game and just a phenomenal soundtrack. The lore of the logs in these games is very mysterious and a great read.

I feel once you're psychotic enough, you start enjoying this game way more. And I got deep enough in the sauce to be one of them. Good game with nice art, and an insanely good gameplay loop.

I liked this game so much I spent years getting into game development to create a spiritual successor (let's be honest, a ripoff) of this game. Later on I took some time to create a website for it and then realized making a website isn't so bad. Then I thought maybe I can make letterboxd for games, and thus Backloggd was born...

An absolutely freakish body horror experience that NEEDS to be longer. I hope the sequel expands on this lore, as its really the kind of horror that unnerves me in the best way.

It's an okay game, I might say this is a downgrade from previous titles.
The game is way too linear and doesn't provide that sense of exploration. I love the game but I found myself playing DS1, DS2 over this most of the times and it's all because of the simple linear and boring map design,

As for the bosses, well I don't really care that much about them. for me and some people, Souls games has never been about the bosses, I enjoy the world, exploration, build variations and weapons more than bosses. and DS3 does not have those unfortunately.

Dude, these levels are ass! They make me wanna strafe without looking!

These nutjobs are driving at nearly 500km/h on a racetrack in the sky, plummeting to their deaths with a single slip-up. This was the vision the game wanted to sell me, but I didn’t bite until I reached Master difficulty.

At that point the game expected nearly flawless driving and a pinch of good luck. Maneuvering through tricky courses already feels like threading a needle. Add to that managing boost, dodging slow back-markers, hoping the AI plays nice, and praying an explosive car doesn’t stall right in front of you on the last lap. The rubber-banding is practically holding you at gunpoint, ensuring that you’ll lose position as soon as you mess up.

Sure, it has a serious lack of content, but it’s so fun and thrilling to return to that it doesn’t really bother me. The tracks and music are incredibly memorable, the difficulty is still there after hundreds of runs, and there’s always a story of upsetting defeat and narrow victory emerging from the unpredictable situations it puts you in. Gonna be replaying this one for a long time.

This game isn't bad per say, but it has a few hang ups that prevent me from appreciating it to it's fullest.

My biggest hang up is visibility. Don't get me wrong, touhou isn't known for it's readability by any means but in this game it is BAD. I find it extremely difficult to tell what's going on at any given moment, with the combination of the stages and the extra particles given off by your season modifier. While some seasons make readability worse than others [cough cough spring] it doesn't change the fact that it makes the game feel much more unfair in a way that's out of your hands.

That aside, I also don't really find the characters in this one memorable save for like, Okina. And Aunn a little bit. The music is very, very good though!

The game itself isn't too bad, either. There's a few spell cards that are especially sinister, but overall I'd consider the game fair! Fun if you can get past the visibility issue.
