My favourite point in the game was when Itchybum said, "This Kiryu guy really is like a dragon."
Yakuza 7 was very good but had some really strange things about that made its gameplay and narritive frustrating at times.
I thought, for example, that Kume was going to be a one off minor starting antagonist, but then he heavily overstays his welcome until the very end, in which he does very little in the story but everything he does do is annoying. There were also parts were if felt like the story was getting sidetracked and there was a lot of nothings in the first few chapters.
The change with the combat was fun but horribly balanced. The fight with Majima and Saejima was a big difficulty spike for no reason with little signs of any huge spike beforehand. (Enemies suddenly going from late 30s in levels to level 50+) This then lead to random points of grinding before later game boss fights.
The story overall throughout is very, however, and the ending is amazing.(Bar Kume killing Aoki randomly for his stupid reasons) I really loved Ichiban and all of the new characters that came along with him.

Yakuza 6 feels very odd. Even though the combat is jank and the story took a weird approach, it just feels right.

The story felt really weird, this was due to it being originally intended as Kiryu's last game but there were three returning characters from the series before that had a role of any significance. The new lot of characters were really good though ( I really liked the whole Hirose family and Joon Gi-Han). The villains felt really hate-able which was good also. My main gripe is that the ending feels nothing like the end to Kiryu's story that it was meant to be.

This is the first game on the dragon engine. With it comes overhauled combat. It isn't very good. Kiryu's moevset is extremely limited compared to previous games and the entire heat action system has been gutted outside of extreme heat mode, which was a necessity in this game unlike the nice addition it was in kiwami 2. However the game has what I believe to be the best long battles in the series, they all just feel so important, unique and fun.

Then the side content, lots of the regular minigames from the series were removed and replaced with other side modes. Some of these were entertaining like the bar conversations and spear fishing but others were not so fun like the baseball management. I also didn't like how around half of the substories were tied specifically to the minigames. I also found it strange that Amon fight was unlocked from completing two specific substories instead of all of them. The Amon fight was very easy and simple outside of his awful one shot bomb attack which was really bad and the only reason I died to him multiple times.

Yakuza 6 is very flawed but still has a very solid story, great characters, nice set-pieces and a unique take on the combat system. It still is quite good through all of its problems.

Yakuza 5's story is amazing. It can get sluggish at points, like Saejima's part, but overall is near perfect. However, they do shove the whole thing about dreams in your face by saying it every 5 seconds. The characters (mainly Shinada) are really great.

The game is also really full od side content. The side stories, which are the main piece of side content are all really unique and fun. Taxi driving is really good and one of the best parts of the game but then hunting was a bit boring and samey. But then the sub stories are also really good and enjoyable to go through. This games Amon fight was a actually really fun, even though all of them other Jo Amon were pushovers. This game also has the best lot of karaoke songs and lets you play Taiko in the arcades.

The combat feels way better and mre fluid than 3 or 4 did. Also all of the new moves and mechanics the characters have are extrmely fun to use. Also, Haruka's part of the game was a fun change of pace with it being entirely a rythm game. Everything about the gameplay feels really fresh throughout.

I love Shinada, he is the best character oat.
