I have forced myself to finish this game so I can properly warn everybody.

The graphics and music are good, and the gameplay itself it´s kind of fun but a little bit too repetitive, full of minigames that are hit or miss. But every good thing this game does it´s ruined by the plot and the writing.

It´s overly convoluted and doesn´t understand the appeal of the OG game. If you didn´t like the whispers before get ready for something 1000 times worse. They ruin some of the most iconic moments in gaming history.

The writing is even worse than in part one, everyone reverted to being oversimplified versions of themselves. Childish, overacted, and annoying, they are no longer the characters we used to love, especially Sephiroth. He is basically Ansen, appears out of nowhere says something cryptic, and leaves. The character is completely ruined.

Stay away from this game if you have any respect or love for the OG and good storytelling in general.

miss me with that shipping nonsense. dont care about punchy big boobs girl or manic pixie dream ancient... give me the pretty spiky hair mothafucka..c'mere blondie lemme show u what a real buster sword do..

Played the first 30 mins and oof, it's as bad as they say. Runs badly, visuals aren't anything too special, low texture bugs, and pretty bad AI. That mixed with the overly talkative characters and looter-shooter gun stats is enough to keep me away for now. At least I can always replay Prey...

People weren't kidding when they said it was hard, made it through on Ultra Violence only after 200 deaths but that's because I'm too stubborn on not changing the difficulty. I think it's a personal reminder I should try playing more for fun and not to kill myself over a challenge, as it only soured my experience with Doom Eternal.

I did enjoy all the new environments, they continue to go all out on the detail of these levels.

The only real bug I met was I couldn't get to the final secret encounter. That was frustrating after completing all the others and reading I would have to replay the entire level again just to get it to trigger. No thanks.

With this being my first Metal Gear game I was very confused by everything from the story to the length.

I truly believe the only thing Blizzard can do right is harrass women.

FYI the only reason this is Free-To-Play is because there has yet to be a way to charge the developers for making you play their game.

My friend is gonna kill me if I don't give this at least a 4

Just about everything about this is perfect, gameplay, visuals, audio, story; it's all there! There's nothing like a feeling where I actually have to duck behind cover to avoid getting shot (real life excluded). I guess if there was one thing missing, it would be melee combat but it wasn't a huge deal.

Was going to give a 4.5, but it's the first VR game that feels like a full, complete package and I love the Half-Life universe so 5/5.

I love playing the Cowboy man even though I should be finishing my Red Dead Redemption playthrough.

next person to compare a game to breath of the wild gets an open palm smack in the mouth

The campaign was pretty bad, but the multiplayer was fun. Not a big fan of the Req-packs mechanic though.

this game is one of extremely high highs, and extremely low lows.

the combat feels satisfying, but its completely rudimentary, mostly involving getting behind an enemy to spam attack or holding block in exchange for a free damage move.

the story is basic and melodramatic, but the interactions between the main cast are down to earth and can be far more emotional than i ever expected they would.

the music is great.

for everything it gets right, it gets two things wrong. there are several chapters that are thrilling from start to finish and some that are just absolute garbage. there are some story moments that get me misty eyed, and some that make me laugh unintentionally. its a technological marvel with some of the systems working exceptionally well, but sometimes the actual gameplay can completely bug characters out of position and look jank as hell. its baffling that this game exists at all, and its baffling it ended up in this state. conceptually its a fantastic idea, and in execution its a pretty god damn good game. but its makes too many mistakes for me to come back to it any time soon.
