The first play through of this game is amazing, with an unmatched sense if discovery for this incredible world. Actions truly have consequences, and in this game your actions can be whatever you want.

Much prefered over the remake personally. Combat is really good in this game, but not very fun in the remake, and overall feels more consistent. One of my favorite Yakuza games.

I think this game used to be amazing, but its only getting worse as time goes on. These days, its an alright game, with fun building mechanics, but really irritating movement. This game has lost all the personality it once had, though, which is the thing i hate most about this game.

An actually effective AND fun exercise game. Very impressed.

Not marios best, not very replay-able, but undeniably a must play game.

Dont disrespect this game its low key tuff this game fucks dude its fun

I like this game because it is fun but sometimes its not fun.

Fun with amazing atmosphere and visuals. Flying around, tearing bricks out if walls and throwing them at monsters is very fun. Metroidvania elements and unexplored lore as well as a middling story often hurt this game, but its still worth a go.

Gameplay remains just as sharp as it was in the first two games, if not sharper. Movement is fantastic and combat is snappy and fun. The MJ sections were improved tenfold by giving her a weapon. I love this games gameplay in many ways, but it does a lot worse than in the first game. Puzzles and side content are much worse than in the original. Puzzles are even more adamant and even less interesting. The parry mechanic simply didnt work for me. Combat arenas aren't designed as well. A lot of little things hurt this game a lot. The vibe from the first game feels less present and less special, and the plot is so much worse. Writing in this game is poor, and sometimes embarrassing. I've never been a fan of the Venom plot, and this is no exception.

Decent yakuza game with the worst story in the series. Combat is so overrated getting improved completely in yakuza 5. Story is fantastic for the first two parts, but the rest of the game kind of sucks. First two parts were extremely fun though. My personal least favorite yakuza but still decent.

Better than i thought and was actually a blast.

Just so incredibly fun. Took a while for me to get into it, but its really great.

The best game. Ever. Flawed for sure, but it captures the greatest, most definitive yakuza experience and feels like no other game. Great combat, great visuals, massive scale, so cozy, so nostalgic, so fun, amazing side content. The perfect game.

Its not really that bad but somehow it still deserves a half star rating. Visuals and music deserve a shout out because they’re gorgeous. If only the game had an ounce of fun in it…
