One of the best action games of all time. Fun to explore and kill things, no part of it feels boring - story is simple but the endearing and goofy characters help it a lot. My only complaint are the quick time events.
Art and concept is cool, but the stiff controls do not lend themselves well at all to the kind of fast-paced gameplay it seems to be going for. DISSAPOINTING!
A turn-based rpg with no grinding and it works great. Good story with goofy and sad moments, great sense of exploration and progression, impactful decisions, good amount of strategy to the gameplay.
A sequel to Half-Life, in case you couldn't tell. Took the story in a very surprising direction, but they somehow didn't screw it up and it turned out pretty damn good! The gameplay just doesn't excite me very much, I'm sad to say.
It's impressive how many things this game gets right for me - the lonely atmosphere, the ambient music that accompanies it, the story that reflects it.
The puzzles and gameplay are great too, of course, but the amount of thought that went into everything else really elevates it.
