An incredibly short introduction to the series.

Having played only a little bit of Monkey Ball prior, 3D was pretty disappointing. There’s 80 levels and only the last ~5 are somewhat challenging. 3D also has platform brawler and kart racing minigames but I didn’t care much for those.

This game is precious! I love the music, and the loddles are so cute. It's a really cozy chill game.

It would've been nice to spend a little more time with the mechanics you get towards the end of the game, but as it is is a very nice short-but-sweet package.

Great atmosphere and a good, cheesy, action movie story. The dreary lighting in levels & the design of the Helghast really adds to the grittiness. While the design of the game is visually appealing, the game itself can be hard to look at because of the unstable frame rate.

Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is meh. It’s cool that Killzone wants to be less of a run-and-gun like Halo or Cod, but aiming is difficult, especially when it comes to making microadjustments to hit someone right in front of you.

A $70USD game that charges real money for characters from older games should not be charging real money for 10+ year old costumes, nor should it have a paid battle pass

Pretty run of the mill Taiko game, which is good! Apparently it has a global story mode but I don’t speak Japanese, so it’s a bit of a hastle to go through the cutscenes.

either this game is stupid or I am

We <3 Katamari! What a wonderful experience. We were blown away by how pretty it was compared to the first Reroll. The underwater level is gorgeous <3 We weren't expecting the music to hold up against the originals, but it's very good in its own way. We even got more backstory on the King. Even so, We still don't forgive him for being so rude to the Prince.

We would have liked it to be a little longer. It took Us about half the time to 100% it as it did the first Reroll.

Play Katamari before you go to bed!

Really solid demake. Plays pretty much exactly like Takedown does, plus some new cars and levels, minus some weird rubberbanding.

Took half a star off for the characters being overanimated at times and contorting their face in uncanny ways, and another half a star because of janky motion controls and the wording of choices resulting in unnecessary deaths.

Fun, corny horror movie experience otherwise.

Taking 1.5 stars off because Mission 19 was so ass. If you can skip that, it's pretty much a perfect hack-and-slash

If it wasn’t for weird camera controls, this would be better than the home console versions. It’s a very 1:1 “demake” while even adding more levels.

Beautiful game with a ton of detail put into it for car enthusiasts. Unfortunately it’s bogged down by an obnoxious business model designed to get you to spend money as well as weird gameplay decisions.

Always having to play catch-up to first place since almost every race starts you in last or close to last. Leaving it to RNG to just earn the CHANCE to buy a car. Always-online. I get not wanting to make it too easy to buy cars, but I don’t want to grind a racing game.

Taking .5 stars away for some of the later levels being annoying, and I’m taking .5 stars away for Mario’s crying being so annoying, which is leagues worse. If I was Yoshi, I would’ve eaten him before we made it out of the first world. I don’t know why it’s mixed to be so much louder than everything else. I think it was done on purpose.

Rest of the game is fine. Artwork and music is cute. I wish Yoshi was less slippery.

I can’t bring myself to finish this game and I’ll just watch a recap before 8. Yakuza 7 felt like a total chore, which is disappointing because Ichiban is incredibly likeable and his team is one of the best supporting casts in Yakuza.

Y7’s combat suffers from the same repetitive issues that Yakuza’s beat-em-up gameplay supposedly had; exploiting enemy’s weaknesses, and dogpiling them until they stand up. The only difference is you have even less control of your characters and less options for variety in combat since characters only grab objects if they happen to meander over to them.

8 looks like it’ll improve on some of my gripes, so I look forward to trying it on sale.

Very gud, just wish they didn't make me fight so many base-game monsters
