Melatonin takes the rhythm minigame format of Rhythm Heaven, but adapted into a comforting and at times emotional journey through the psyche of an exhausted and burnt out member of the modern era who falls asleep on their couch every night.

It's a wonderful demonstration of rhythm gameplay storytelling and a must-play for fans of the genre after a long day of Existing.

Skywalker Saga is even a step back by Lego game standards to the point where just remastering LSW1 and 2 would have been better, thanks to some extremely mindless gameplay and level design that borders the line of hardly being a video game.

Superliminal has a lot of entertaining puzzle concepts and some good atmosphere, but it gets tiring quickly thanks to some boring writing and repetitive puzzle design.

Catalyst is mechanically superior to its predecessor and that’s it.
The only way the game can be enjoyed is as a mindless line following obstacle course and anything else like the story or level design will disappoint.

Sunset Overdrive is fun in the mechanical department for the first few sessions, but the repetitive mission design and tired attempts at comedy leave it at kinda dull.

Mirror’s Edge has a lot of fun to be had with its movement controls, but the mazelike level design, boring plot and awful combat do make it feel kinda messy.

The best entry in the entire Mario Party franchise.

The best way of looking at The Simpsons Game is like playing a Lego Star Wars campaign, it has its fun in co-op, but the gameplay is nothing to write home about.

FROLF BAYBEE.

Every friend group should have a Frolf night, while under the guise of a turn based sport game, the unpredictability of your froggy friends makes for guaranteed hilarity.

I mentioned in my Pikmin 2 review that each Pikmin game is unique, and in this instance, 3 is the collectathon of the trilogy.
Most of the mileage comes from motivating yourself to collect the optional fruit from revisiting previous areas with new Pikmin types, which makes the immediate gameplay loop short lived and barebones, but I still had fun.

I couldn't finish Pikmin 2.
The fascinating thing about the Pikmin series is while each entry has similar mechanics, the gameplay in each entry explores a different vague subgenre to interpret the mechanics through, and in this case, Pikmin 2 is a dungeon crawler with far too much of a focus on combat, which makes the gameplay loop repetitive, frustrating and far too intrusive on the true mechanical core of Pikmin which is present in 1 and 3: Micromanaging your silly little tasks.

Pikmin 1 is peak Pikmin, a straightforward strategy game where you plan ahead to collect items in order to survive and master the perfect run.

My favourite Mario Kart, Double Dash may have hokey controls, but its experimental gameplay and punshing difficulty makes it the only one I come back to when I'm not playing 8 Deluxe.

Fortune Street is the ultimate video game tabletop, Monopoly but with a thousand times more chaos as you try and play the stock market to wipe out your competitors.

It's even perfect for playing long distance on apps like Discord, as only one player needs to operate the controls.

Eledees as it's called in Europe is an adorable puzzle shooter where you explore maps and catch squishy little creatures, it's decently lengthed and has bundles of character to it.
