The combat is so good. I'm with the majority that I wish there was a bit more enemy variety and that the density of enemies especially in Battahl is annoying. The performance is disappointing, but it really only dips in cities, while annoying, its not like you spend majority of your time in them. The story isnt great but coming off playing the first dragon dogma, it s a revamped of the first is good enough for me. The fact that I am going back into new game wanting to max out every vocation and wanting to fight the same enemies over and over is the sign of a masterpiece. 9

Good game. Playing as warrior and just doing tons of damage felt so good. The final boss was awesome. I feel as after a certain point the game was a bit easy, I went into the final boss battle with only minimal healing and a mage that doesn't heal and I beat it relatively easy.

My biggest gripe with the game is traveling, I understand the idea, but the stamina constantly draining is annoying. Stamina shouldn't drain while traveling. The game can detect when your in combat so why does the stamina need to drain when your not fighting??? Thank god for those ferrystones, made it a lot easier. The only reason I proved the Rick Harrison guy to be innocent was just so I can keep buying those the stones. To be fair, I wasn't giving my full attention but the story was whatever.

No I don't want a relationship with Mercedes. Shame on this game for forcing that. 7

Can I get a yakuza game that doesn't finish on top of skyscraper with a helicopter just hovering off screen?

That Tanimura final boss battle was atrocious, for all the complaints yakuza 3 gets, that battle was worse than anything on that game. Tanimura is the worst part of this game tbh, I just feel his gameplay was the worst, and his story was the most shoehorned in. Tanimura should've been a story character. Saejima is fine, idk he didn't really click for me, but at least he is still in the franchise and there's more time for me to warm up to him. Kiryu's final boss battle was also pretty bad in my opinion, the fight was annoying and Daigo's story in this game is just pure who cares. Kiryu is in his Naruto arc and I respect it, but we didnt see Mikio or Nakahara so who's watching them kids. Akiyama my love.

Arai and the police commissioner are pretty forgettable, overall the story in this is...mid, and I think its because of Tanimura, and RGG trying to use the multiple perspectives. The problem is each character had their own issues within the story that didnt necessarily really progress the story. This is Kiryu and Akiyama's story with Saejima and Tanimura tagging along. There are a lot of stuff that also happens off screen, like Yasuko leaving Kiryu, Saejima just getting caught, Hisai apparently just blowing his brains out??? Yasuko death was also pointless, Kiryu just standing there T Posing in the corner, like do something. Arai just casually throwing the gun at the commissioner? I know Akiyama is in further games, but if I didn't know that and saw him get shot over that, I prolly would've smashed my screen. While I may have not enjoyed all the characters, I still got goosbumps seeing them all get out of the helicopter.

Overall: Akiyama is a bandaid on a rather solid but not great Yakuza game. And these past Hostess side story are awful. 7

This is the best story so far in the yakuza series. Mine in my opinion is the best villain. The man destroyed an orphanage, it doesn't get more evil than that. His "redemption" would've been so good as the Vegeta character architype if he didn't jump head first off of a 100 story skyscraper. The Kazama plot is good, just wish they altered the face a bit, but whatever.

If the combat was better this honestly would've been 5 stars. I did play on Normal, but the blockuza meme is true for the most part. The Lau Ka Long boss battle was the worst example of this.

The audio was loud also. Kiryu's footsteps sounded like minecraft sound effects. Damn dog mission. 8

The aesthetic is S tier and the story is good. The gameplay..... is not fun. Having to replay the whole game to get the true ending is just stupid. So you go through this whole journey, just to leave it on a cliffhanger???? To be honest I'm scared over the slightest things and this wasn't scary at all, other than those random flash jump scares. 6

Sitting there and grinding close to an hour just for a boss go to a second phase which is much harder, just made the game annoying. Basically had to use the mimic to finish. Weapons and the environment was cool. Im a dodger in souls game, and this game definitely doesn't lean towards that, so having to perfect guard was awful because it left very little room for error. Overall Lies of P was good enough for me to be excited about Round8 next game. 7

Forgot to review Great just like the first but it’s basically dlc. Suits are terrible. 8

Good game that got a bit stale. I did like the puzzles near end game. Problems that I had is that are the upgrades don't feel drastic enough, I wish one upgrade is the ability to move faster. Chapter 3 was the worst because the momentum came to a halt to do a bunch a side missions for the sea people. Love the aesthetic and even though the bar could've been more fleshed out, it was fun running the bar. 6

its cool, but i just cant get behind the combat

Tbh, I don't think this game is for me. Getting around is so annoying, I'm not gonna force myself to play this. At least I kind of learned how to use mods.

The gameplay is so good, the story is well... not as good.
I hope CEL 240 the best 😊

1/5 of my time was probably spent customizing my mech, tbh that might be the best part. 9

Now I don't think the final boss of this game is near as good as Isshin, but it did give that feeling of having mastered every movement, like I'm in ultra instinct.

All the bosses in this game are fun and love the art style except the art for the cutscenes, why not stick to pixel art. The one negative is that I had to search up a couple of times what to do, which is just annoying. I felt that Veredicto was so much better than the two weapons that they ended up feeling obsolete. I basically Veredicto solo the whole game.

Will I play the first Blasphemous? I should but prolly not. 8

After the fourth sage, I felt I was closing in on a masterpiece. Then the fifth sage was next up... The last sage being built up by being hidden, you expect it to be a powerful, but it is thee worst power up of the five. That "boxing" zonai fight was terrible. Now the other sages powers. What is the point, why make the choice that you have to run up to them to use their power. Being able to get one shot by enemies, its makes it so difficult to use the power ups. Not being able to use the sages at all for the final fight makes no sense, the use of sages is a million times better in BOTW. Plus the mediocre combat. And if upgrading armor is important, then they should've made the great fairy a default, not a random side mission, that is easily missable.

The sky island is kind of gimmicky in my opinion, but on the other hand the depths were pretty cool, so I wished that is where they targeted its focus.

That being said, the exploration is as best as it can get. The graphics are beautiful. The zonai mechanics are awesome. Most puzzles, not all, are challenging enough. 6

Pyrocynical Utopia

Everything wrong with the second game but worst here.

I don't understand, even with the knowledge of the second game, the story is kind of awful. What's the point of Johns death, it just seemed out of place. The gameplay is terrible, npcs travel so slow, having to wait to start missions. The peak of this game is the Dutch saga. You spend the first half of the game seeing Bill once then kill him, find Javier then kill him almost immediately. You first see Dutch, then 6 straight missions that include him, which was actually fun. 4

Arthur > John. The professor joke was pretty funny job tear you limb from limb
