Ignoring the abnoxious puzzles that detract a bit from the story, this is one of My favourite Suda games just below Killer7.
It has a lot of personality and the story is a bit weird but charming and a bit melancholic as well.
But i think the best thing that this game offers is the atmosphere, the soundtrack is a freaking banger and the old low poly ds feeling makes me want to travel to Losspas island irl.
Also, Mondo is literally the best protagonist ever created, he is such a silly depressed goober ^⁠_⁠^

Hay tantísimas cosas fantásticas y maravillosas que se podrían hablar en profundidad respecto a este remake, podríamos discutir sobre el como los cambios en el tono y la exploración de personajes conformaron una trama mas elaborada e interesante, sobre los cambios en las animaciones de nuestro personaje más orientadas al realismo y como estas pueden entorpecer la experiencia en dificultades altas, o sobre todos los reworks de diferentes zonas que le dieron un acabado mucho más fresco al diseño de nivel mientras se sigue la filosofía del juego original. En lugar de eso, la gente prefiere discutir sobre la puta pintura amarilla.

The game plays better and I hate it.

The dragoon plays better... which I hate because its a living thing and every single game with a living thing feels heavier
because well, they're alive, like in Panzer Dragoon.

The in-game cutscenes have more movement but are rough as hell, the simplicity of the original made them stand out a bit more.

You can say this game is "better" in some aspects, but does it make it a better product than Drakengard 1? nope
