The game is showing its age in a lot of areas, and its older clunky movement can feel frustrating at times.

Despite all that it's an amazingly creative and memorable game. The most fun take on the Alice in Wonderland story I have seen, with beautiful and diverse environments to explore.
Combat and movement while outdated now can still feel very responsive and satisfying. And it has an intriguing story that remains strong across its runtime.

As the spirital successor to Werewolves and Town of Salem, this piece of art allows one to live out their wildest dreams of machiavellianism, narcissism, and sociopathy. "Among Us" truly allows you a deepdive into the psyche of your social circles and the exploitation thereof. It is an efficient tool to uncover the darkest parts of anyone involved. Only the truly insightful will realize that it is more than just a videogame, it is a social commentary that interactively visualizes that the insane and wicked do truly walk "Among us", hidden in plain sight and that anyone is capable of betrayal and deceit.

Such a phenomenon comes about only so often, bravo.

It is a common misconception that Prometheus stole the secret of fire from the gods. In actuality it was this absolute masterpiece of a videogame, which the gods saught to keep hidden from us.

On a serious note, Hollow Knight and its small team of developers both represent a resounding victory against the current state of the gaming industry. No microtransactions, not even close to a triple-A price tag with more quality content than one, beautiful art direction and exceptional gameplay. Not to mention all the DLC, all of which are peak quality and packed with additional content, are free.
And unlike the inhabitants of Hallownest, there are few bugs to be found. Hollowknight, in my humble opinion, overshadows all other metroidvanias on most levels and will forever be one of the few games that deserves a perfect 5 star review and also one that is serious.

Even if it is not your kind of game, it is a resounding victory for all game developers that are like Team Cherry. Bravo.

The gods of Olympus are known for cruelly punishing several figures of humanity for their hubris throughout history. I am one such man and for my unrivaled arrogance I was thrown into the pits of Tartarus to play Warframe for a few weeks. After the experience I felt much akin to Sisyphus, who had to roll a boulder uphill, only for it to roll back down to the bottom when he reached the top.

Only as such can I describe what it feels like to play this "Warframe". Luckily, unlike the Greek figures of old and coincidentally also unlike the grind in this particular game, for me it came to an end.

Game that introduced me to the Pokemon games and it's still my favorite. Bangin' game

There's no doubt about the impact and staying power minecraft has had over the years. Basically nostalgia simulator the game with how iconic it and its soundtrack is. Despite all that minecraft as a base game is just fine. Survival as a gamemode starts to get boring rather quick for a lot of people. And in terms of end game goals there are nigh none. "Minecraft is an open game, your end goal can be whatever you want" is true, but that has its limits.

They took a very simple but charming game, and actually succeeded in turning it into an incredibly fun third person shooter. The entire game is dripping with creativity, and the characters feel special and fun in their own ways. It perfectly nailed the combination of having enough room for silly fun as well as for skill expression.

Boltgun doesn't try to do or be anything new, but it also doesn't have to. For a very fair price you get a tight and polished retro shooter with amazing art direction set in the 40k universe. Fans of the Warhammer universe can enjoy the power fantasy of being a (very strong) space marine and look at all the lore details and enemies from their beloved universe, whilst non-fans can still enjoy a solid and at times challenging game.

This game is something really special. First and foremost it absolutely smashes it in the visual style and sound design department. Music and art from this game can be enjoyed perfectly separate from it, makes a great playlist. It does an incredible job at setting the mood, and through excellent writing you get to experience the world from the eyes of a living, breathing person in it. You learn and puzzle the story together all from the perspective of a bartender, yet it extends so much further than just the bar. It highlights very human interactions. Quiet and loud conversations all in a little pocket, separate from the scary and dystopian outside world you barely get glimpses of.
The gameplay is very light, and exists mostly to give you things to do in between all the talking. Yet it feels natural and fun to do. It's a game where you need to get comfy and strap in for a long session.

No team attack animations, fucked up auto battle, nerfed item world, no Tenpei Sato soundtrack, no non-disgaea DLC characters, no animated opening + vocal track

Was gonna say something snarky but I ended up having fun playing this for 35hrs and beating the main game. Sorry for being a hypocrite
