Really wish this was 40 fantastic levels instead of 80 hit-or-miss levels. Still, a solid expansion overall and definitely better than Splatoon 2’s single player campaign.
(World of Light) Kotaku Splitscreen is a genuinely great podcast. I listen to a ton of video game related ones, but this might be the best. Highly recommended.
Just like with the first game, there really isn’t much to say about Bayonetta 2 that hasn’t been said already. The definition of a perfect sequel. My expectations for Bayonetta 3 are sky high, and I have no doubt that it’ll deliver.
First newly-released game of the year! The game takes very heavy inspiration from VA-11 HALL-A, but I think it does a few things even better than it. Really enjoyed my time with this one!
I mean, what is there left to say about Bayonetta that hasn’t been said already? One of the greats and a fantastic choice for my first replay of the year!
I...did not like this at all. I thought the story was extremely predictable, and found the characters extremely boring. The only positives are the art style (which comes off as a poor man’s Device 6 to be honest, but it’s still cool) and the music. Disappointed.
Heard a ton about this game around when the Switch launched, it was touted as a hidden gem if I remember correctly. It was...fine? It’s fun, but very short and incredibly forgettable. Fun time-waster, I guess.
