If there was a way to give a game 6/5 stars on here I would do it for this one. An absolutely unforgettable experience. From it's incredible writing to it's beautiful art and music. Everything in this game is masterfully done. I would recommend acquiring this game on the seven seas in this case as the IP was stolen from the devs by the publisher making this a case where swashbuckling is the morally correct option.

I wish every JRPG had the brevity of this one. It's short length in comparison to other JRPG's works very well in its favor by not only creating an incredible story that has very little low points, but by also reducing the amount of grinding to a miniscule amount. The combat mechanics are also very entertaining and create an incredible feeling while unlocking the team up moves for all the games characters.

Homophobia simulator. Ok in all seriousness the combat mechanics and main story are enjoyable over all. I just find the writing of the characters to be extremely contradictory and poor. I especially dislike the way Kanji and Naoto were handled. As both of the games queer reps their inclusion in the story is not only very bigoted at points but is fundamentally uninteresting especially in Naoto's case being a rare example of squandered Transmasc rep. I mean cmon Atlus you did good queer rep in Persona 2 why can't you do it again?
The best fighting game (for fans of the genre). If you are a fan of fighting games with extraordinarily complex characters and layers upon layers of system mechanics then this game has you covered. It's resurgence in recent times due to its netcode update and subsequent new features such as replay takeover have set an extremely high standard for fighting games that I hope continues in the future.

An extraordinary game. Accessible to newcomers due to its simple characters and understandable combo system while still providing an entertaining experience for those who wish to dive deeper. The fact that the version with the rollback is free also helps bring in newcomers and i often use this game to teach new players the basics of anime fighters. H-Ryougi is life.

One of the best in its series. A great jumping in point due to its prequel status while simultaneously becoming even more interesting after playing the whole series. People often forget that this is technically the 6th entry in the series coming after Yakuza 5. Its deluge of side activities and incredible story make for an unforgettable experience that will probably make you cry at the end.

I don't like most of the PS3 era yakuza games if i'm going to be completely honest. Often suffering from confusing writing and combat issues the entries stretching from 3-5 are some of the most average entries. This one in particular suffers from very block happy enemies and annoying boss fights. At least the terrible out of place english voice acting at some points in the game makes it entertaining.

Ngl i've been meaning to replay this one as i sort of rushed through my first playthrough. Overall the incremental improvements over 3 make this game much more enjoyable. While 3 had a very cookie cutter story this game attempts to do something different with its several protagonists. Some of the early scenes are very well done and set the tone incredibly well. Other than that though. The multiple perspectives causes the games story to get extremely confusing by the end. It almost makes me wish the game had the in between chapter recap system that 0 has as it would be much more necessary here in comparison to 0.
