Lowkey one of the best cooking games out there. It feels like reverse marketing: looks like a bootleg game using the image of a famous chef as a quick cashgrab but it's actually one of the biggest, most intuitive and filled with content cooking games I've ever seen. What the actual hell.

Short free browser game beaten in less than 15 minutes. An idea with lots of potential, challenging controls and level design that makes really good use of it. A shame the game ended when I was finally starting to get the hang of it, but I guess it's a good thing it left me wanting more.

Took me a while to get into this series but I regret nothing. In fact, why didn't I get into it earlier, considering my taste for videogames? Anyhow, I was bound to enjoy a game filled with surreal, unexpected moments and plot twists. Investigation sections were fun, though just a bit tedious at times, but were mostly fine. However, it's trials where the true sauce of this game is. All evidece comes into place there, despite the sudden plot twists, and it's just so fun to unravel the mysteries (even though your job is supposed to be JUST defending your client, but who cares anyway). Cases start fine, but get better and better as you progress, until you reach the stellar final case. Overall, a game I simply can't help recommend to anyone who likes a good story, some laughs and some good ol' murder mysteries.

Just a neat game with metroidvania aspects featuring Wario. Opening chests gets annoying after a while, and the changing costumes mechanic could've been implemented better, but it's a challenging yet enjoyable title most of the time.

My introduction to the Metroid series, and a great game at that. Finding all secret paths and items was incredibly fun, though a bit tough to figure out at times. Still, this is one of the best games to get intro metroidvanias (heck, they're called like that for a reason) and provides a fun combat and exploration. It may have some flaws, mostly due to the game's age, but the final section of the game truly makes up for most of them, absolutely a masterpiece in level design.

The "lots of coins" premise sounds better than it actually is. You blink and you already have 999 lives making this game ridiculously easy. Weakest New Super Mario Bros. game in my opinion but hey, Nintendo knows how to design levels so I can't say I had a bad time with this. 100%'d too.

Has a stupid game over mechanic and a stupid final stage but if you can get over those (cough savestates cough) it's an incredibly creative platformer and better than the first one.

Was recommended to play this after going through a really hard phase. Anxiety is something I've lived with for my entire life, and sometimes you gotta do wonders to avoid having it control your entire life. This game doesn't want to "cure" your anxiety, but rather help you understand it and make it easier for you to live with it. Sometimes, it's fine to be afraid, and you shouldn't be afraid of being afraid.

A WarioWare game like no other, and, for the most part, what inspired me to become a developer. Despite its simplicity and not allowing actions such as dragging or drawing, I spent countless hours making my own games, and I even gave the music and comic editors a shot. I'm very glad Nintendo is still making games such as Game Builder Garage, and inspiring younger generations to appreciate the magic of crafting games. I love this game.

2012

Too bad about the Phil Fish thingy but this is one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. The main mechanic of turning the stage is amazingly well done and used in very original ways, and keeps encouraging you to explore and see what you'll come across next. Even if you use guides to understand the game's own language (some of the game's puzzles required the effort of entire communities in order to be solved), there's enough you can do by yourself to beat it, so it's still a very friendly game unless you want to give some of its deepest secrets a shot.

Improvable level design but the whole "draw your hero and some ingame elements" mechanic was, and still is, pretty rad. Also this game and its sequel had no right having the story it had. You know what I'm talking about.

Probably the best old-school 2D Mario game other than Super Mario World. Fantastic level design and power-ups. HUGE step up from the two previous games.

I mean, it does what it promises to do, even if it's not much. I even learned to do sudokus and do fast, short calculations with this so I guess it had a good impact on me as a kid?

As much as I played and love Mario Kart Wii, this installment may well be my favourite one. Spectacular track design and well-implemented antigravity mechanic, even in the retro courses. As always, great to play with friends and online.

Fun silly Kirby game. Hasn't aged too well considering it wasn't easy figuring out where Kirby was or where he was going, but it's fun even today.
