Probably the only semi-decent sports game on the NES made by Nintendo.

Imagine Castlevania but you can barely see the boss and you have to search to find a weapon that actually works.

A fan remake so good I had to add it to this site. It does everything in Mega Man 2 better while setting its visuals to a style most wouldn't even care for. There is no reason to play the original when this exists. I hope 1 and 3 get the same treatment.

I got two star pieces before calling it quits. The normal battles aren't bad, but the scripted ones don't give you enough feedback to change up your strategy should you fail (which was barely happening until the part where I got stuck: Moleville), switching characters in combat doesn't feel as entertaining as it should be, and if you do fail, you have to rewatch every cutscene up to that point.

Wheels on a shopping cart: MM3, MM4, MM5, MM6

If this game is the "ugly duckling" of the Castlevania family, then I'm not going to any of their reunions.

Trial and Error: The Game with a side of "What am I looking at?"

For a western title in the NES' silver age, you could do a lot worse. I wish Famicom Grand Prix got localized instead, but what can you do?

Prokop is near useless, the controls suck, and the enemies never let up. It sucks that super creative studios go under in five years or so but this stupid ass company stayed open into the 21st century.

I always drop this a few worlds in and I don't quite know why. It's not a terrible game, but it doesn't feel like it's taking the Mario series anywhere.

Mega Man peaked here. The level of challenge is perfect, the story has a few neat points while still not being over dramatic, the new gameplay options stick the landing and the soundtrack is underrated as hell.

I'm too stupid to even pass the tutorial
