YOU BETTER ENJOY THOSE IDENTICAL PSX CORRIDORS YOU LITTLE B-

Probably the best version of SMT1, navigation is made slightly more tolerable due to actual 3d render of the GODDAMN CORRIDORS (instead of the pretend 3d of the snes), moving sideways and a quick map buttons were also added which are godsends for this game.

Besides that it's SMT1 with some better sprites, backgrounds and some bugfixes & correcter oversights I believe. It's outdated no way around that, but it has charm to attract curious SMT fans like myself.

+ Great mood with the cursed wild west vibe
+ Good looking visuals & art style
+ Varied enough enemies for each location
+ Enemies are better dealt with with specific strats and weak points
+ A lot of unique equipment loot variety

- Grind based inventory management is broken and missing a LOT of QoL features, examples:
you can't place an item on top of another to replace its position;
items are always placed horizontally so even if you have space vertically you cant pickup or unequip items;
and more problems I've forgot, all this makes inventory management really annoying...
(Resident Evil got this right decades ago come on)
- Story almost might as well not be there...
- Leveling perks are meh
- Gameplay loop & objectives starts getting a bit repetitive

Solid game for Wild West enjoyers, just needs riding on the sunset and train level.

First playtrough: Item-box commute simulator with a pinch of tense exploration.

Second playtrough as the other character: Calculated speedrun and victory lap.

OG cliff thrower game, Heihachi survives because of the moon gravity, Paul has early Vegeta's forehead syndrome, sublime ending fmv's.

Only played this version, used motion controls only.

Probably the safest Zelda game ever made, besides the addition of motion controls, it follows the Zelda formula to the letter, that might not be enough for some but I had a pretty good time.
Sure it doesn't do nothing too fresh, but it compensates for that with some of the best dungeons, overwolds and puzzles in a Zelda game, everything is super refined, there's always a cool gimmick, and the environments keep spicing things up even when you return to the same place.

The combat and motion controls are a hit & miss, feel great when they work, but when they don't its annoying.
Want to block? You might end up doing a somersault attack instead.
I still haven't figured it out how duels against Ghirahim work after finishing the game, my best strat was to flail my arm like a possessed gmod ragdoll and hope for the best...

This game's story aims to begin the entire Zelda timeline, the very first Link & Zelda, no Ganon yet, why this cycle keeps repeating, sure it explains all that but it doesn't do anything particularly interesting with it...
(Except maybe a small detail with the master sword that may or may not be relevant in ToK)
The main antagonist Ghirahim, unlike Ganon, at least has the consideration to occasionally show up throughout the game, which is nice and something I wish Ganon did.

Overall a solid Zelda game.

Skyward Sword has a fatal sin though:
Why does Link wear the legendary green cone hat?
That was supposed to be explained in the Minish Cap!
Link shouldn't wear a hat here! Why ruin the Minish Cap thing!?

0 out of 10, Skyward Sword? More like Scrapyard Poor.
Worse than CDI Zelda, shame.

Pretty neat version of Carbon for the PSP.
The driving is fine and has good sense of speed, your crew is actually effective (even if sometimes they screw you over..).
Better yet the game features an alternate decent little story via really well drawn comicbook-like cutscenes, complete with a small twist in the end and implication. Actually wished they expanded the story and characters, there's only so much you can do with around 10 mins of cutscenes, still better than main's Carbon storyline (not that's saying much).

Somehow the game also features open world and police chases, and they are completely pointless...
Still good effort for a PSP title, prob one of the better racers there.

- The boards are often divided into sections that are difficult to move to, this results in either going repeatedly in circles or moving to the wrong section of the board.
- The way capsules work makes items way too random so I seldom used them.
- There are too many minigames that are just button smashers (designed to destroy your arm and the A button's lifespan), and a fair number of unbalanced minigames.
- What have they done to my boi Donkey Kong???

Played in coop which is a fair bit different from sp, no map squad planning and no story cutscenes (which sucks), but planing and coordinating with your mate throughout the campaign levels makes up for that, and it's not instant game over if you die once as each player gets a full squad.
Levels with hostages and bombs can be a bit annoying and trial and error, as the AI rushes to detonate or kill the hostages, but once you know the locations is satisfying to plan a "tactical" entrance.
Maps are varied and look nice, shooting is good enough, the AI is not rubbish, and the game has lan play.

Played in coop, good popcorn game.
Every character is a chad-like tick chinned testosterone meat-jock that literally shakes the ground as they walk, and they talk like they just came back from a Super Bowl or something, quite excellent.
Its a good TPS, nothing too special but its fun chainsaw enemies.
My only complain is the camera shake for running and turrets, makes me motion sick, not enough testosterone in chin I guess.

+ Solid gameplay foundation for a L4D horde coop
+ Amazing soundtrack
+ Locations look great
- Low variety in the environments
- Low map count
- Randomized missions and gear gets annoying fast
- Banter is not as good as Vermentide

Best combat out of the classic GoWs imo, but as a climax of the og series it left me a bit disappointed on the story front.
Pandora should've stayed in the box...

A showcase of the DS stylus screen (and mic) functionalities in a decent Zelda game. Mapping, cruising the ship (which I actually enjoy more than in WW) and puzzles make great use of the stylus but controlling Link with only that is a bit clunky imo.

Was hoping a little more from the story as a continuation from Wind Waker, but it was is pretty much just a nice self-contained story with WW Link and new characters, Tetra only shows up in the beginning and end, only to be absolutely wasted.

The superior version of Spider-Man 2, only appreciable by true gaming Patricians, while the dirty plebeian rabble venerates their lowly PS2 version.
The PC version meanwhile makes Spidey's Chad like chin perfectly visible for us Gamer Chads trough his mask.
