The problem with this game is the amount of stuff that is pay gated. The game clearly is still alive thanks to the whales. It has a VIP system with different tiers based on how much money you have spent, paywalled characters, locked features if you don't buy anything...

Only die hard megaman fans will give this game a chance... it's not that good.

It's in a completely different genre than it's predecessor... and that's a good thing
While in the first game I was frustrated by the platforming and combat this one is... good, gameplay wise, not great but good, with far less variety but a way more focused hack and slash combat.
Just like the previous game, it gets carried hard by it's art direction.
The game looks amazing even by today's standards, specially Alice's hair.

Slog to play but the great atmosphere and beautiful environments kept me hooked

The only reason to choose this game vs the free simulators (like dueling nexus) is the pretty animations

Once you finish the final part of the game, you mostly keep playing to try and get the cosmetics of the current season
Even if it's very repetitive I had so many little special moments while playing, either solo, with randos or with my gf
The aurora collab was great and it was what got me into the game

It's a nice time killer, I play it whenever I go anywhere
There's not that much to do in game, the battling mechanics suck, pvp sucks. If you like endless collecting for the sake of collecting stuff you will like this game. Also I guess the ability to transfer your pokemon to the mainline games is a plus.

The worst thing about this game is the save file management (you better never delete the game or lose your phone), apart from that this is probably the best gacha game I have ever played... because the game uses a fixed seed which you can use to predict your rolls. Even if you don't cheat the gacha, the gameplay is pretty fun. The game is offline single-player which is rare to see on mobile.
