Honestly, the most fun I have had with a game in AGES. A pure blast of silliness around every corner of every level, this game never fails to bewilder you with its absurd premise and equally absurd execution of said premise to perfection. The artstyle is charmingly low poly, and animations are bouncy and choppy, giving the game a unique vibe in conjunction with the flat out stupidity around every corner. Its a sensory overload in the best way possible.

100%ing this title was a constant joy, every level is packed with fun and challenging obstacles, which can be overcome with the very simple yet VERY deeply rewarding moveset you have access to - utilising slopes in the terrain of each level is key to gaining massive bursts of height and distance. Mastery of the simple moveset in conjunction with the level design truly unlocks the pure insane fun this game can offer.

The only drawbacks I had with the entire 100% process were limited to a small handful of levels; particularly ones with an overhead top down perspective (which removes the depth from the otherwise freeform movement system) and a couple with very tight time limits to contend with. Otherwise - everything is amazing! Go buy it and play it NOWWW!!! (you even get a super silly exclusive hat for buying within the first month of launch, so go do it!!!)

Incredible soundtrack, unique levels, silly story and characters, TONS of goofy hats to collect - everything about this game is just a joy to experience from start to end.

Nintendogs was never really something that drew my interest very much, but I took a chance of this entry in the series and I regret not giving it a shot sooner. The game is a very simplistic pet simulator - feed, walk, pet, play with your dog/cat - but there is an inherent charm to the experience that really gets you attached to your virtual pet. I got a ton of use out of the pedometer mode since I walk a lot, so that was typically enough for me to boot up the game in the morning, then interact with the pets in the evening when I returned home; it felt rather rewarding - much in the same way looking after a real dog does. The fairly realistic animations on the pets adds to this feeling too, regardless of what activity they are performing.

I have since moved on from the game for the most part (its no longer part of the unintentional daily routine I had made), but it was definitely a worthwhile experience overall and I am very glad I gave it a go to begin with. The 3D effect is VERY strong though. Early 3DS game syndrome, I suppose.

A great retro throwback 3D collectathon in the vein of Banjo-Kazooie, executed to a stupidly high level of quality, Corn Kidz 64 was a game that truly engrossed me with its puzzle filled world to explore. Controls are fluid, animations are extremely bouncy and stylised - as are the low poly retro aesthetics - and scouring the game's level for XP cubes was a blast. The platforming controls are extremely fluid, allowing you to chain tons of jumps and horn dashes together by using specific level objects. The game's XP cubes are hidden everywhere, but the best secrets lie behind careful analysis of the game world and then executing chains of jumps to access them. Extra hidden collectibles are concealed in truly obscure areas, the vast majority of which I could not find (the few I went out of my way to Google the location and try to get were a pain to reach), but at least there is still things to find if I decide to return down the line, as is the final difficult gauntlet level. Highly recommend it, especially since its so cheap! Absolutely worth the asking price.
