Not the best fromsoft game, but still great, especially when it comes to its bosses. The combat hasn't aged the best with elden ring pretty much being a natural evolution of it and being better because of that, but it's still fun. Lore is great and very climactic too.

Good game, gets outdone by later titles in the series tho.
A total mess. This game really felt the loss of Miyazaki. If you want a good review of this game, watch the YouTube video "in defense of Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin" by creator Mauler. (It isn't actually a defense).

I love the combat. Along with aethstetic, lore and setting the atmosphere is fantastic. Shame that all the areas post-Rom kinda suck until the dlc and the bosses in the base game (aside from Gascoigne and Gehrman) aren't great either. I want to like this game more than I do but there are gaping holes that bring it down for me. Still a great experience though.

Absolute masterpiece- I would understand if somebody said this was Fromsofts magnum opus but I still prefere Dark Souls 1 a bit (i am biased)
