Very boring game, almost nothing of note happened during the 24-ish hours i played this game. The plot only gets going by the 20h mark and that's way to far into the game.

Party members get introduced way to fast and i wasn't really able to form some sort of connection with the characters.

The combat was there, it isn't really anything to write home about. You just press the attack button, move around and use special moves. Some stuff did get introduced but by the time i was done playing the game it didn't really make a difference.

I also don't understand spell casting, it's very slow and i never was able to use it effectively when playing as a character. I'd always get interrupted and the casting was slow as you just wait for the spell to get cast. This issue isn't exclusive to Vesperia but all Tales games I've played. Maybe i just suck who knows?

And i also don't get cooking, you can only cook 1 time per battle you've engaged in, and you can't turn them into items like in trails. And getting recipes is stupid, just let me learn it by eating it like in trails in the sky instead of forcing me to search for some disguised guy.

Boring game, had a good start but then I just got tired playing it. At least it was fairly short, excluding the post game content.

I'd have more fun watching paint dry 0,5 / 5 play trails from zero instead it's fun.
