i can't take this anymore. i will NOT finish this garbage excuse of a game. it's a straight hallway with no interesting story, no interesting characters except for MAYBE lightning, and the worst gameplay the franchise has ever seen, i haven't had the need to stop using auto battle for 16 hours straight, it's just a waste of time. ''oh but the graphics are so good'' I DO NOT CARE!!!! I CAN PLAY GOOD GAMES THAT ALSO HAPPEN TO HAVE GOOD GRAPHICS!!! IF I WANTED TO SEE PEOPLE THAT LOOK REAL I WOULD GO OUT OF MY FUCKING HOUSE! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I'm ngl this game (if it can even be called one) is really fucking bad. Like. Genuine trash. Actual comedy. I can't believe they thought this was a good, no, even a mediocre idea. Easily 0/10, now, you might think, why did you give this a 5/10?

It's simple actually

It has Kevin Graham. He's there. I can see him moving, attacking, and throwing Grail Sphere. And, as bad as this game is, that's something that no trails game can say since Sky 3rd. I'm craving for Kevin. Anything they give me is good at this point. I am desperate. And only for that will i give this a 2.5/5. When Kevin comes back in a REAL game I'll lower this to 0.5 as it truly belongs. For now tho, this is where Kevin is at, and my scores are where Kevin is.

another garbage multiverse story that adds absolutely nothing to the series
looks meh, runs meh, gameplay is meh, straight up bad when you take into account that abusing the giant boring demons is the ''optimal'' way of playing the game, soundtrack is forgettable, some maps are ok tho but end up being boring anyways, game lacks sound effects, most of the time it felt like i wasn't hitting anything but the air and had to genuinely stop pressing buttons to see if i was hitting something, viola is annoying as fuck, the new VA for Bayo isn't that bad but it's still not even close to the original (it's a shame the og VA is an idiot), you have almost no reason to use the shop at ALL, there's a STUPID amount of gimmick fights that are not interesting in the slightest (giant boring demons, side-scrollers, jeanne sections, etc)

oh, the ending was absolutely garbage except for ONE part of the final boss and that's all i'm gonna say about it

it's a shame because i really like bayo 1 and 2 and was really excited for this, but it turned out like this.

DDLC+ is the little push that DDLC needed to achieve that glory they were so close of getting. The base game is already very good, enough to be worth it alone, but adding 7 side stories (6 which have 2 parts) which adds around 5-6 hours more of gameplay + all the unlockable pictures/music, makes this a really great experience.

The side stories dive deeper into the 4 characters (not including the main character, but giving him some references every now and then) and show a lot more of their personalities and...you could call it a ''new side'' of them? i guess?

The way the side stories are written, the conflicts they show, and how they resolve them, along with new OST and CG's make it a really enjoyable experience.

It's a 10/10 for me, and i hope everyone else who plays this game gets to enjoy it as much as i did!

i was actually going to give this a 4.5 but you know what? i don't give an actual fuck, i REALLY enjoyed this game, it obviously has it's flaws, no game is perfect (i don't consider any game in my 5/5 list perfect anyway so whatever) and i was genuinely impressed by how much fun i had with it. when people talk about Xenosaga they often talk about it kinda like a broken record, it's good when it works but it's awful when it doesn't, maybe that doesn't apply to the first episode and everything starts going down south from the 2nd episode onwards, but at least, with this game, i had a really good time, i loved the characters, i loved the gameplay, i loved the side quests, the difficulty of the game is almost perfect imo, kos-mos is fucking goated, idk i just really liked it, and i was NOT expecting that, so yeah, really excited to keep on playing the trilogy

I've always said that there's not any game that's perfect, and that every game has very obvious flaws if you get nit-picky (or in the case of bad games, you don't need to)

but Reverie is the closest thing to perfection I've had the pleasure of playing, there was not a single thing about this game i disliked or thought was lacking, combat is my favorite combat ever, characters from past games which i already loved (and the new ones were also very good, on my top tier of trails character for sure), ost was insanely good, story kept me hooked from the beginning (i'm a crossbell fan, yes, it checks out)

there's simply not a thing i didn't love about this game. it let's you play however you want it, doesn't punish you for not grinding any of your ~50 characters and provides excellent ways to level them up and to always go around changing your party if you want to with creative and fun missions that don't punish you for not grinding

the only bad thing? i can't go around recommending it because you need to play 9 games before this LMAOOO, maybe it's a good thing, this way i can't be as obnoxious as i was with the DGS Duology.

definitely my favorite game ever and i hope the trails series keeps attracting new players with each new entry because it's 100% the best rpg series to ever be made. can't wait to keep playing with kuro and future arcs
