Simply superb. Non-verbal storytelling at its very finest. Art, music, and gameplay coming together perfectly to create something beautiful and emotionally powerful. A genuine must play.

Quality movement in the stealth and parkour gameplay, levels designed to let that movement sing, well written missions with structure and purpose, gorgeous art design that holds up ~20 years later and storytelling that really doesn't get enough credit.

This series needs a modern generation remaster to make it easier to play again.

What a special game. Absolutely breathtaking from it's very first moments and when you encounter these enormous colossi it is simply sublime.

SotC, its remaster, and its remake have been some of the best games on three generations of Sony consoles.

The greatest sports game ever made, no question.

A PlayStation classic. An exceptionally original game, a 3D platformer combined with a fast paced, tactical, 3rd person shooter. Brilliantly written dialogue and characters, creative arsenal of weapons each with their own niche, and polished platforming movement.

They don't make games like this any more.

THE best narrative game I have ever played. Inkle's Heaven's Vault is a refreshing take on a graphic/point & click adventure. Instead of a linear story in between slow click+combine puzzles, HV has a sprawling story with so much player freedom and interaction, no tedious slow downs or confusions, and an incredible puzzle mechanic about translating an ancient language that feeds into the mysteries of the storylines.

Not just an excellent football sim that will have fans of the sport utterly addicted as they search for signings and tinker with tactics - but where FM still excels after all these years is the depth of its storytelling. Realistic and exciting narratives unfold from the simulation that make the players, the teams, and the history books feel just as important as their real life counterparts.

True of all FM games, this review could be copy paste. Except 2016, that game was weak.

Has all the awkwardness and clunk that the genre is typically burdened with, and puzzles that are frequently illogical or tedious - or require a walkthrough - but Syberia's art is gorgeous. The locations are wonderful to explore and this for me is the game's biggest positive. Chuck in a handful of good characters, Oscar the train conductor in particular, and you've got a point & click that I'm sure fans of the genre will enjoy.

Unexpectedly brilliant. Intergalactic Fishing is No Man's Sky as a small, indie fishing game - take a simple, top down, 2D fishing game and throw it into an infinite procedurally generated universe.

A game with wonderful exploration filled with discovery, satisfying fishing mechanics and a chilled out, zenlike landscape. It's a game that captures you on both a serene and mechanical level in a way that only a few quality games can (see Started Valley).

It may not look like much, but this game is well worth taking a look at.

While it wasn't the tricky, mind bending puzzler that I expected - Superliminal's range of puzzles feels exhausted by the midway point - I still came out of this one completely satisfied.

It's not a puzzle game, it's a walking sim. Excellent visuals, trippy and creative scripted sequences, and an engaging story told largely through solid voiceover work as you explore the games surreal world.

A couple of hours long, can be played in one sitting, definitely worth taking a look at

A parody of Starred Valley/Harvest Moon that takes elements of the genre and twists them into a frantic, difficult, twin stick shooter roguelite

It has slightly cluttered visuals and has a lot of unsatisfying deaths, but when you start formulating strategy and figuring out the games tricky systems then Atomicrops becomes totally addictive as all good roguelikes do

Superb mashup of tower defence, dungeon crawling roguelike, and party based RPG. Dungeon is a game with exceptional strategic depth, engaging risk vs. reward systems, satisfying mechanics and a stellar atmosphere

Whether played solo with a tactical pause or multiplayer in a more frantic real time strategy mode, Dungeon scratches the itch for fans of tricky tactical strategy games

A brilliant idea with exceptional execution. Perspective is a short, sweet must play for all puzzle game fans.

Final Fantasy cosplays Lord of the Rings. What The Third Age may lack in difficulty and tactical depth, it more than makes up for in its creativity, visuals, and engaging adherence to it's theme.

Play as budget Boromir, generic elf, and not-Gimli as you follow in the footsteps of your favourite Fellowship - jumping in to assist at a few crucial moments - all the way from Moria to Minas Tirith.

The tactical combat is on the easier side, even on the highest difficulty modes, and can be gamed in a couple of days but it is always interesting and levelling up your characters and developing their movesets gives a great sense of progress.

Excellent visual design (plucked directly from the films) and strong animations for its age make this a game thats still enjoyable today for fans of the series

A mysterious game of discovery that tests your video gaming literacy. The only rule of Starseed Pilgrim is to Google nothing, go in blind, and experience a beautiful game quite unlike any other
