Ixion

2022

Ixion is, at its core, a survival/management game with a prominent city building aspect, which can confuse some players into thinking the game is something it's not. It requires (and sometimes, encourages) reloading to stop a chain of events that will end with a game over screen, and it's not geared towards players that just want to create pretty stations at their leisure.

It has an interesting story, something unusual for these type of games, and unlike most management games it has a set chapter structure with no free roam/sandbox available.

Some balances issues are bound to occur with certain play styles, but overall I think the game offers a healthy mix of exploration and more urgent decision making. I think some more polish could be applied in terms of UI, which is itself quite good, but has a few areas where it can certainly be improved.

A pretty good game overall the puzzles were well made and really made you think and the trials were as awesome as they were in your average Ace Attorney game introducing a new feature of cross-examining multiple witnesses at once it was really fun.

The issue for me comes from the fact im mostly an Ace Attorney fan and i wasn't a huge fan of how Phoenix was downgraded to basically comic relief while giving all the action to Layton and Espella's existence only bringing troubles to everyone othen than those issues i would say the game is definitely worth a shot if you love either of these franchises they got me interested in Professor Layton after all.

Up until the ending I loved this game. After the ending, I still like the game, but it was a bit too far fetched for me, and they had one major cop-out that I didn't like. But the game as a whole was really fun, and as a fan of both series in the crossover, I liked the representation of both. I would definitely still say it's worth a play.

A fantastic ride from start to finish. Went into this expecting it to be a lighthearted and goofy lawyer game, and while I did get that, I certainly wasn't also expecting to be hit with some of the most gripping, heartfelt, and flat out hilarious stories I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Excellent remake of one of my favorite games of all time! I was going into this remake not knowing what to expect - if it would exceed my expectations or if it would disappoint me.

I can confidently say that this new version of Dead Space left me feeling amazed by the work and care that was put in and the fluidity of the gameplay, experience, combat and overall presentation.

The game played just like how I remember it did back on the Xbox 360 original version. This time around, however, I felt the controls were more responsive, the environments fleshed out and fully realized and the combat more intense and gripping.

The shading, draw distance, lighting/ray tracing and rendering all were fantastic, brining this classic into the modern day with a fresh coat of paint and a reworked engine. Having a classic game that still plays well tuned up like this is something marvelous and special, and to experience it in this way is truly a magical experience.

If there are plans for a Dead Space 2 remake, I am all aboard and eagerly awaiting.

Platinum trophy earned, all quests completed. The year's break has really paid off here. Assassin's Creed Origins brings a huge, detailed recreation of Ancient Egypt and an enjoyable reinterpretation of the previously-typical gameplay loop and combat mechanics, allowing both a more action-focused take in gameplay and more freeform stealth, depending on your preference. The revenge-based plot could be a little stronger, but the distinctive characters and likeable protagonists help to offset that.

This is where I stared my adventure with Dragon Age and I loved every second of it.
Yes, the open world is not perfect, it's full of meaningless activities but??? The lore?? The companions???
Running around from one companion to another and finding out about their backstories was peak gameplay for me.
No, really, I just felt like the world was so well written, it was full of fun details, little connections, it could've been developed a bit better, yes, but still this game had me cought in so much that I used to wake up every day excited to find myself in Thedas again

Final Fantasy X was my favorite FF game, but Final Fantasy X-2 just doesn't do it for me. I was excited to be back in this world I loved with characters I'm familiar with but the now pop singing Yuna and crew are just not interesting. I understand Yuna is different now with the pressure of Sin off her shoulders but the direction they took her character was random and just unappealing. The gameplay was still fun and well done but the story and world didn't draw me in like that of its predecessor.

This is one of my favourite games ever but have to admit it has some (a LOT) of flaws. Still enjoyed it and played it like 30 times (and still picking it up again to this day).

Can't wait for DA4.

Ok, so not a huge amount of people liked this game when it came out, and I totally understand why. Some cool mechanics go mostly unexplained unless necessary (I didn't even know you could make builds or give magic effects until my THIRD playthrough). Road trips can become boring once you've seen most of the map. Some very important characters have very little personality or development. I get it. But in my eyes everything else more than makes up for its shortcomings. It was the first game I had ever played to make me cry at the ending and I'll never forget the experiences I had with this game.
