City trial is super fun and really deserves a fully fledged game. Racing does not feel great so the other modes become lacking. City Trials' shoulders must hurt for carrying the entire experience.

While it doesn't hold as many features as SMM2, the controls were made for the Wii U Gamepad and it shows (fluidly). Being the first to give such a powerful, creative tool to future artists and game designers is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. Level search is still bad.

Mechanical peak of Mario Kart gameplay from MK8 combined with more stages and a robust battle mode. Topping an almost flawless entry like this will be a difficult feat.

It's easy to get boggled down by current development, player base, hackers, and more time sensitive issues, but taking a step back and appreciating the game at face value shows all that it accomplished. Your fondest memories of this game exist and they showcase near perfect execution of a team fighting game with well thought out classes and charm.

The sheer isolation in a foreign world already holds a candle, but that combined with the most successful form of mass genre blending makes Metroid Prime 2 an experience I'll never be able to relive. Exploring a once-lived-in world with so much lore that's ripe for the picking (if you choose to pick) got me invested despite my usual distaste in lore deep diving. Metroid Prime Trilogy edition is my particular favorite.

The beginning of the Mario Party dark ages.

Didn't bring nearly enough to the table to make it remotely interesting.

Mini games were a lot of fun and importing GB rosters was a great way to visualize battles. However, the base battling was jank and baffling at times.

A somehow super relaxing yet stressful game of time management, social building, creative outlet, and resource gathering that all works together well.

A neat concept that desperately needed more delving into. Love the style of creating your own scenes and how revisiting the same levels always felt like a new experience

Inspires endless amounts of creativity and is a great exercise in game analysis and design. Level browser is funky and the maker controls are far less intuitive than the original game. New tools and the ability to make worlds are great additions.

A great game to sink endless hours into with gameplay that you always learn more about. While revisiting old save files can be discouraging, nothing trumps the feeling of starting a new game.

A bit of a hidden gem that leaves two approaches to every mission: stealthily kill people until caught and blow up everything, or blow up everything from the start. The physics of destroying buildings is the best out there but the world itself can seem lackluster. Good variety in weapons and a narrative decent enough to keep you engaged.

Bidiots deserves its own fleshed out game but is great as is. Quiplash and Bomb Corp is also fun while the others get old quickly.

Not mechanically perfect but a very accessible way to have real time pokemon battles. 4 player co-op is fun as well as grinding to get slightly better pokemon. Not a great long-term game as repetition grows quickly, but treated as a party game enhances the experience.
