(i got the game a few days early dw abt it)

when i said i wanted them to take inspiration from octo expansion for the campaign, this isn't what i meant, but i'll take it.
for real, though, this game is really fucking good. the multiplayer is as fun as ever, with the new specials being fresh and fun, and updated kits for older weapons being much appreciated. gotta love the touch of only punishing the people who disconnect early and just ending the match outright so it's not a curbstomp. salmon is also functionally the same but with some improvements. unfortunately the flyfish is still in the game but all the new boss salmonids are great and salmon chungus is a really fun extra wave, i love the idea of using the golden eggs against him, and it creates this really interesting balance of objectives in the game. you have to beat the boss so you should attack him, but focusing on the bosses means you can do more damage. with a full party of people in a call together i could see this being really fun to strategize around in real time. also gotta love the battle pa- i mean catalog. ill know who to target when i see someone with the fucking dab, not because i hate the dab but because that shit is like at level 98 and leveling up the catalogue is a grind and a half.

finally there's the campaign i wanted to talk about for a bit. it's really good! but mostly because it just copied octo expansion. that isn't to say that it doesn't have any ideas of its own, it most certainly does, but so much of its structure and even certain level designs are just ideas repurposed from octo expansion (no girl power station, though, thankfully.) as much as i love the structure and format of octo expansion, i would've really liked to see something new done with it, or at the very least not so much copying. even the finale, down to the part where you gather several huge, human items and use it as a tool to propel you into the final section of the game, which sees you going against several levels of back to back challenges while escalating to a higher surface to confront the final boss. and it's a grand spectacle! the final boss is really fun and kinda challenging, and the spectacle is something to behold. again, it's far from bad, but i also can't deny the fact that this is just octo expansion 2.

splatoon 3 is definitely worth the price of admission, one of the few nintendo games to come out recently that feels worth $60 at launch, and if those nitpicks i have with the story weren't there (and yes, they ARE nitpicks) i would have no problem with giving with a 5/5.

This has so many improvements over Digimon World Dusk. No more species exp. More digimon that you can reasonably get before postgame (my endgame team consists of ChaosDukemon, Omegamon, Rosemon Burst Mode, etc.), and a relatively streamlined experience... until the end. The end basically requires you to grind the (defunct) online or REALLY grind other systems to access it, and that's why I never beat it. I wish it didn't because this could've been the best Digimon game of all time to me. It's so sad, dude.

I used to main Scout but I decided to be even gayer than I was in 2014 so now I main Medic.

fuck you guys i love this game

I still remember getting this game day one because I really just wanted a new 3D platformer to play since the market had become so dry, and I don't think I can list all of the things that make me love this game. Hat Kid is one of the cutest and most fun characters in any game ever, the music is always amazing and dynamic, the characters and writing are just so effortlessly charming and loveable. I love, love, love every inch of this game, head to fucking toe. It reminds me of how fun video games are, just as a basic premise. It makes me love playing and caring about video games. It's just... so good, y'all.

i wish i was undyne so i could fuck the shit out of alphys

probably the only time ive ever had a choice of "save one or save everyone else" and felt conflicted about picking either decision.

Roughly 6 hours of pure bliss, god fuckin damn dude.

i didn't care much for this game but i like the art and the music and im excited for the art and music in the sequel
