Dead space is a fantastic horror game and how horror games should be done. The action/horror segments of the game make Dead space scary, but not absolutely terrifying, making you on the edge of your seat, but still wanting to see whats going to happen next. THis is also thanks to the well done story, which while isn't the main focus or all that interesting does help drive the game forward. The best part of the game though is by far the gameplay. The puzzles are all fun, ut the enemies are fucking aweasome. Having the gameplay be shooting off their limbs makes every encounter tense as you can't blindly shoot you have to be accurate.

I actually never finished Dead space, not because the game is bad at all, it's really good and my favourite horror game I've played. Even though I've not finished dead space (hopefully I'll come back to it eventually), i can still say confidently how good of a game it is, so if you LOVE horror games, or want to get into the genre i would highly recommend it to anyone.

Uncharted 4 is Sony's best game, with a mix of fantastic story telling that naughty dog is known for, and exhilarating action sequences with fun shooting and gameplay.

A way out is short and beautiful, with extremely fun action scenes, fun puzzles and a engaging and heart-breaking story that was brilliant to play through.

2018

Super well made game, but roguelites aren’t my thing.

SPOILER WARNING:

Doki Doki literature club is a super good game, with a really unique twist I don't think anyone expected. I was recommended the game by multiple youtubers, and after hearing it was a horror game, i decided to play it.

When i downloaded and booted up the game, i was surprised to see that it was actually a dating simulator, and i was very confused. This is by far DDLC's biggest strength, as the game has very well made dating sim elements that are very well done and don't feel boring like other games that are exclusively talking. Then, after about 2 hours of gameplay, the twist happens and fuck me i was shaken. DDLC's ability to turn the cosy simulator that it had just built, and flip it on it's head turning it into a creepy and unique phycological horror game is just so impressive to watch, and one of the biggest WTF! moments in games.

Overall, Doki Doki literature club is very impressive, and it's ability to look like a cosy dating simulator, before completely shaking things up and turning it into one of the best phycological horror games out there, is incredible to play.

Deaths door is a perfect 3d platformer, with fantastic combat, boss fights, puzzles, level design and world design. Deaths door souls-like combat is tough but fair, with well designed upgrades that feel rewarding and useful. Bosses feel tough but easy to master, leaving a rewarding feeling close to the from-software standard. Deaths door's level design is amazing with each area feeling unique and interesting, with the puzzles feeling not to difficult but satisfying. Deaths door after credit content is also well done, with neat secrets and a fun boss fight. I love this game and recommend it to anyone who plays video games in general.

this game died fast, but at least it was fun while it lasted.

really fun and well made tower defence game, with a great art style. Gameplay is super fun and addicting, with each round becoming harder, and you gain more coins to place down unique monkeys to pop the incoming balloons. Unfortunately, BTD6 does get boring after a while, as the gameplay becomes repetitive and there isn't much more to do except try out new and not all that unique levels. Still, super fun for the time i played and very well made.

Serial cleaner was a game i picked up as I thought it looked fun and weird, and was also very cheap. When i started playing, my expectations were realised as the gameplay was super fun and unique, with while paired with the well done level design made it a great game to play.

Serial cleaner's story is that you are hired to clean up crime scenes, while the police are there. This story isn't all that interesting, but it's a good enough idea to make what you're doing realistic. The gameplay is where the game shines, as the stressful work of attempting to clean up all the blood, body's and evidence all while avoiding cops is very well done and addicting.

Not too much else to say, except that the art style is pretty cool as well. All in all, I enjoyed my time with serial cleaners, and apart from one level that made me quit (It wasn't too bad it just made me want to do something else and i forgot about the game lol), it was a great game with fun gameplay and a simple story that isn't too interesting but doesn't need to be.

I fucking love terraria.

I started playing this game in like 2015 with my brother, and apart from WII sports, it's my fondest gaming experience when i was younger.

Terraria has such excellent combat and creativity, that along with it's very well designed bosses and enemies make it a near perfect game.

The sand box type world pairs perfectly with the games combat, as the variety of weapons, armour, charms, potions and building materials makes the game be incredibly fun and replayable.

The combat itself is amazing, with the 2d angle letting you see the entire screen of enemies. The enemies themselves are very cool, even if 90% of them are pretty similar gameplay wise. The bosses however, are the standout of the game as most of them are absolutely fantastic and my favourite part of the game. Each is unique and impressively designed, with different patterns to learn and master.

Overall, terraria is fucking awesome, and even though I've ranted i haven't even scratched the surface of the game. The bosses, world, creativity, sand box design that allows a variety of different playthroughs and ways to play is just masterfully done in this game. Please, play this game.

Yoshi's crafted world has a lot of charm, which paired with the well designed levels and bosses makes it a great platformer I'd highly recommend.

The environment and level design is all 'hand crafted', using random bits and pieces you would find around you house, and adding them into the background to make the world feel unique and, well, hand crafted. This incredible world design adds to yoshis crafted worlds calm atmosphere, with none of the levels, except some bosses, being stressful, instead all making you have fun over anything else. This does lead to a lack of difficulty, but that doesn't bother me at all as the target audience is little kids.

Overall, Yoshi's crafted world is super unique and charming, with a great hand crafted world design to make a calm and fun environment to experience the well designed levels and bosses.

Woodle tree adventures is defiantly not a horrible game, but it lacks the gameplay needed to make it a solid game. It has a lot of charm, and is fun for an hour, but then the unoriginal and repetitive gameplay makes me quit.

best couch game to play with friends. Board game makes me rage a lot though.

I'm going to review each of these games separately, with 3d world at the top and main rating, and bowsers fury with it's own personal ranking at the bottom.

Super mario 3d world is a great 3d mario game with some very fun and interesting levels. Each level was well designed, with the Cat power ups being pretty fun. The main story is the same bowser does something, ( I honestly forgot what ), and you have to stop him. Overall, a pretty simple 3d platformer mario game, but one that was super fun.

Bowsers fury is a short and sweet game, that left me wanting more.

After the high that Mario odyssey left me with, I didn't think any Mario game could be as good. But when i picked bowsers fury up, it was just what i was looking for. Bowsers fury has a really simple story about, you guessed it, Bowser, but the story is much more unique and interesting. The levels in the game are all well done, nothing overly special but they are all very fun. Main reason i love the game though is because of the epic bowser vs Mario cat fights that feel epic and can only be compared to Godzilla vs King Kong.

Overall, i loved bowsers fury and I only wanted more after it ended. Just shows you how much effort Nintendo can out into games, even side games that are free inclusions.

4.5/5.

Don't know why but never got into this, and that's really unfortunate for me. Stardew valley defiantly has the perfect cosy farm-sim vibes, and one day if i ever commit to a play through, i hope to experience the true fun that this game offers and i never got to experience.
