It's hard to say if I liked this game as much as the first. The gameplay is definitely better, with the new physics bringing a welcome insanity to the gameplay. However, I just don't think the story and level design is as memorable as the first. Additionally, I had some bugs that nearly stopped my game entirely from working. I think I'd return to Max Payne 2 over 1 more, but the first story is timeless, and trumps this one completely.

Honestly still holds up. The writing is fantastic, gunplay great, and level design killer. It's age is genuinely the only thing holding it back at this point. It's difficult to run without patches and the graphics, while a huge part of the game charm, are still very much showing how old they are. It's a difficult game, but I didn't mind that, just make sure to quick save after every cutscene, otherwise you WILL be watching them again.

Very Very Very short. I'm glad i got this in a bundle/Sale. Only 5ish hours if you slack around, game can be beat in less than 2 hours if you're fast.

Peak. It continues to be insanely good.

TECHNICALLY, I have beat the main story of Valhalla, but there is much to go in terms of completing it. It's a great, short roguelike addon that gets us some juicy Kratos character growth and Mimir banter. Can't beat a price better than free.

Very VERY short, but very very sweet! Coming in at only like, 2 hours, Blue Shift didn't do much but refine what was in Half-Life, while adding some higher quality models. I had a lot of fun with it, and will likely play the Black Mesa remake when it's done.

The game still very much holds up today, but sufferers from modern hardware issues and such. It is also incredibly short, and to be honest, the final boss was lame, but it is still very much a must play!

It's Black Mesa, what did you expect. The entire game was honeslty a blast, with amazing combat and a lot of fun to be had. I did think I was tired of the XEN NIGHTMARE TOWER by the end though, and had just about all the fun I could have with it for now. I might come back achievement hunting, but until then.

I beat the game, but you know how games like this go. Very flashy and very fun, but I suck at bullet hells. Only complaints are that some enemies are absolutely nightmarish to deal with.
