I have no idea what I just played

I hate this game. Waste of my time, players wasted my time. It had a good concept, but that was put to waste.

Fun for a few minutes until it just feels too competitive based. Not to mention the amount of bots that just ruin the game.

The only thing keeping you playing is the cosmetics, but for me I've completely lost interest today. I spent years saving up around 5k KR to spend on heroic spins and spent it today, highest I got was one legendary.

After months of playing and weeks of abusing save states, I've finally beaten Castlevania. Am I glad? Yes, why? Because now I don't need to play this frustrating game. The AI is broken, I absolutely hate the big bats, jumping skeletons, monkeys, and Dracula. You're barely given any storyline, barely any interesting characters, and eventually worn out gameplay.

Ok game, didn't know when to stop since it goes on and on. Just assumed I completed it since apparently it has 16 unique phases. Also it needs cosmetics!!!

shocked he was able to guess slowthai but not videogamedunkey

I've had this multi-console emulator called 'Higan' on my computer for quite a while, and around the past week or so I've used it to play retro games like NES, SNES, and Game Boy games to fill up my library here because I feel like my library's a mess. It could also run Sega Genesis games, so I definitely felt the need to get a game to run it with. I went on the 'Games' section here on Backloggd, filtered it to Sega Genesis games, then sorted by highest average rating and there it was. Gunstar Heroes, it caught my eye, so I downloaded a rom of it. Loaded it up, and you know what happened? I played it for 3 hours.

Gunstar Heroes is THE most unique shoot 'em up game I've ever played. Actually, I'm not even sure if I would completely categorize it as a shoot 'em up, because it even has really cool beat 'em up-like mechanics. Another cool mechanic is the shooting abilities that you could collect, switch between, and even fuse. This really has you experimenting around with different combinations of abilities to see what's best for you to use in different situations. Some are pretty OP at first, like the lightning + chaser combo, which literally feels like an aimbot, but it doesn't let you focus on a specific enemy and you can't jump while holding it, but I like that, because it makes the gameplay fair.

The level design is unique, you go to different places with different enemies and themes, I love the 4th level the most, it was really creative. At the same time, the game's able to have slightly increasing over time difficulty, decent characters, story, and sounds.

Not only is this the most unique shoot 'em up game I've ever played, it is THE best shoot 'em up game I've ever played.

fall guys but with way less content

Though it's not too amazing as a game in general, Kirby's Adventure is definitely amazing in terms of NES standards. While most NES games just feel like ports of simple arcade games, Kirby's Adventure gives you unique gameplay and mechanics in comparison to other platformers of its time. With a few worlds, each with some levels, mini games, and simple bosses, this game is one that's able to give you a full enough journey with

Though I felt like giving this 4 stars, there were some bosses which were difficult and had me wasting lives on them. But with that being said, this is definitely one of the best NES games.

Feels like a very unfinished Metroid clone. Though the gameplay feels pretty good, art is decent, and there's some cool secrets here and there, there's not much to it. The music isn't too interesting, and sometimes when you enter rooms it doesn't stop/change sounds. Speaking of rooms, the design in rooms really doesn't look that good. Anyways, back to sound, sometimes you can manage to trigger multiple music tracks to play and overlap each other, it's annoying. The game just feels like an average metroidvania with basic used assets.

In comparison to Super Mario World, I feel that Donkey Kong Country is more colorful, animated, and more unique. It's crazy just how much detail was put into it, not just with level design, themes, and gameplay; but even artistically. It's like every pixel is used to make the animals and other assets more detailed than that of other SNES games. All that together just makes a masterpiece, I love it so much.

controlling Mario feels so janky idk what the word is

Very happy to announce that this is the first game I'm giving a 10/10 score to.

Undertale isn't your normal RPG. In comparison to others, Undertale really evokes on character. Every character, major and minor, all have unique personalities, as well as attacks that won't harm you as long as you can avoid them in mini bullet hells. You don't always need to fight them, as you can get to know them through the "ACT" option, and find safe ways out of situations. Of course, you can fight when you'd like, and doing really affects how the story goes. It's all up to you.

As you progress through different environments, you get a better understanding of what these monsters have to overcome. Though it's filled with its fun little moments, more dark and deep moments get in the way. That, combined with the retro-flare, details given through dialogue, surreal world, soundtrack, and way more (can't really think of anything else), just make it so charming. There's so much enriched into this game that's just so fascinating, it feels so emotionally driven throughout a majority of the playthrough, and I love that.

struggled so much on the 2nd to last stage oh my god
