man, furries are awesome.

this game doesn't take too long to beat but it just feels absolutely worth replaying. at the forefront, it's a pretty simple rail shooter with some interesting gameplay and mechanics, but what really sells this game to me is the different level designs and missions paired with each of them, and how you play through them affects the trajectory of your journey and your allies' condition. the voice acting and animations behind most objects in this game i feel are part of what makes this so enjoyable, ESPECIALLY the final boss. the final boss impressed me with how well it was animated, the whole nausea affect, and its fighting sequences. all in all, i had a really great time with this, and this is definitely my favorite N64 game so far.

playing through this game feels pretty simple but the concept overall is pretty unique (for its time?). the different puzzles it offered were pretty clever, and i love how it offered more stuff to play through once it seemed over. of course, i also like the secrets which, paired with the music, adds some kind of depth and change in atmosphere. anyways, i had a great time with this game, and i'm looking forward to playing the sequel soon (possibly).

its ok. i like the part where you go in Mario's balls though

made Brockhampton fight in all 10 battles. Kevin usually died first lmao

simple yet fun and charming. i just love seeing all these different characters that come in every now and then, some changing over time. though you don't get to see all of it, you can still really tell how things change through how the characters you meet do over time.

2020

i used to have the world record speedrun for this game on speedrun.com since i was the first to submit the game to the database and was (obviously) the first to submit a run but sadly someone stole my record. i'm cool w/ it though

2008

the first entry to the infamous 'Hobo' series is quite an interesting one. the game starts with a very striking intro cutscene, quite pleasing. with its simple gameplay, you can very clearly see influence coming from 'Streets of Rage' (1991) and 'Sonic The Hedgehog 2' (1992). pulling off various attacks and combos feels sharp; stunning enemies by spitting, barfing, sneezing, shitting, etc.; doing a variety of punches, kicks, and plunging into enemies to knock them down for a short period of time; and using beer bottles and trash cans to harm enemies. in a way, it also reminds me quite a bit of two of my favorite films: 'Taxi Driver' (1976), and 'La Haine' (1995). i hope the sequel to this game stars Robert De Niro.

pretty well made smash bros fangame, though controls feel kinda janky and you don't have a lot of characters to choose from. i'd rate it higher if it had spike spiegel.

pretty decent tactical rpg. there's a bit too much dialogue, plot was kinda basic, and you don't get to experience everything it provides before it ends. ending felt like your average coming-of-age movie ending, it was kinda nice and relieving though.

never thought i'd find so much enjoyment in a racing game, but here we are.

the gameplay's so simple, yet it's so fun drifting around. the vibes are unreal in this game, as soon as the CGI opening starts you know what you're in for, the upbeat soundtrack's perfect for the game and really brings out the vibes. though there's not much to the story in the Grand Prix, it still works all the way to the end and the epilogue. the game has a lot of replay value, i don't think i'll ever get tired of it.

you can't play as toad or spike

tbh if i didn't die so consistently on some levels then i'd give this a 9/10

one of the only memories i have with this game is when i heard some white guy say the n word in one of the first games i was in

i remember this one time i kept throwing snowballs at this one guy and he started throwing back then i tried moving away to different areas but he kept following me into them to continue throwing snowballs so i logged off

during the last boss i kept telling myself "yeah i'll beat it this time" then i didn't and died and respawned and it was a whole cycle
