Also it's very clear that Kojima was trying WAY too hard to be dark and edgy, which made it difficult to enjoy the story imo. I don't think there's much that should be off limits in writing, but I do think they need proper tact, which Kojima lacked with this.

MGS2: Another wonderfully aged game imo, both gameplay wise and story wise.
MGS3: Great game. Graphics are still genuinely beautiful imo, and the story is really good.
