The MJ missions are awful and I hate them

An incredible game that absolutely deserves the 5 star treatment.
Hyrule truly feels like a world you live in instead of a set piece for your heroics and the world building is really cool with the whole Sheikah-tech.
It does, however, have some cons: it rains to much, making traversal completely tedious; the weapons breaking is not as bad as some people make it seem but it gets kind of annoying especially when you don't have a blacksmith option to repare your favourite weapons; the narrative (which is incredible, btw) is mainly optional and you have to go out of your way to collect all of Link's memories which make the story and world 100% more interesting and memorable.

Overall the negatives are nitpics, it truly is a beautiful game, maybe a bit to open and sand-box for me but still an incredible achievement for the franchise

Everyone has that one game they slowly learn to love. At first they enjoy it but don’t find that much to love about it, they just think ‘yeah that was ok’ and leave it at that. For me, that was my relationship with Super Mario Odyssey. It began with me enjoying it at first, and slowly but surely, it’s probably became one of my favourite games of all time.

The game begins like any other Mario game: peach gets taken by bowser and it’s up to Mario to rescue her and save the day. Pretty simple but trust me, it really isn’t about the plot of this game, but we’ll get to that later. As Mario we meet our partner for the game: cappy and that’s where our gimmick for the game comes in. Previous games we’ve had FLUDD which was able to perform many different abilities using water, and we’ve had the baby luma who gave Mario the ability to spin and destroy objects. But now, we have the ability to take over different enemies and oh man this adds quite the layer to it. We can take over the classic enemies: goombas, hammer bros, etc. but also other things such as tanks, a bouncy polar bear, or a flying lizard.

There are also many different kingdoms in the game. The most adorable thing is the themes they have for each, these include: desert, sea, lunch, city (based on New York), and a beach. Whilst these seem simple, trust me they are a lot better than you think. Each is just expanded so brilliantly and it all works so well.

I have been avoiding something so far and I may as well get it out the way. Why did I give this 5 stars? Well, it’s mainly because of how much I keep coming back to it. It’s a game that becomes quite addictive after a while. It has many different things that just make me keep wanting to come back to it. Balloon world, the 2 extra unlockable kingdoms, and getting over 9999 moons. It all becomes a recipe for a masterpiece.

So, is it on the same level as galaxy? definitely
Does it match games like super Mario 64? Yes
And could it quite possibly be, the best 3D Mario game of all time? Certainly

Great story, addictive gameplay, excellent design, could be one of the best 3D platformers, the dinosaur was put in to scare a new generation and I’m all here for it

Colorful, fun and innovative!

Super Mario Odyssey feels like a modern re-imagining of Super Mario 64. The game is incredibly charming and just feels so unique with all the creative designs of the different life forms and worlds. Definitely worth a look if you're a fan of 3D platformers!

I wish I could understand why people love this game so much, I really do. Clearly its resonated with a lot of people but I just cant get into it. Ive tried a few times but I hate the bullet hell combat, I dislike the puzzles, I never get a clear sense of what anything is progressing towards or what is even really going on other than ironic meta stuff thats not that clever and the piano music gets on my nerves. Different strokes I guess

Few things in this world can get me emotional like the ending to the pacifist route of this game. I never finished genocide cuz it felt really boring to play through but there’s something so eerie about how characters will have specific dialogue about whichever play through you did first

So I got this game in 2021 after I decided I needed to start playing indie games…and I decided to start on undertale and oh man…what a game…what a powerful little indie game made by a guy named Toby fox…and no…this game isn’t just “ooo look funny skeleton man” this game is more then that, this game is…undertale, a game where you are judged for what you do and get the ending you have created…just wow…

I miss inaba so bad but I don’t want to replay it . Something about keeping it as a memory in my heart feels better to me

I drunk ordered a PSVita on ebay and skipped a week's worth of uni lectures to play this 10/10 zero regrets about any of it.

A solid 7.5-8/10 in my book. I feel like it really removed all the issues I had with the previous game but there are some issues. The biggest issue I had is something that ruined my attachment to the story. The memory system is back but they tell a linear story though flashbacks instead of them being mostly self contained like the original but in this game I had a death scene ruined for me because I apparently didn’t find the glyphs in the right order. Scattering random bits of a story around the map in an open world game that has twists to it is just asking for it to be viewed incorrectly. An issue did persist from botw in my opinion and that’s the content bloat. People often praise this game for how much you can do but I have a hard time finding enjoyment out of a lot of it especially the new underground which feels very rushed. There aren’t really many glaring / game ruining negatives here for me and I do wonder where the series is going next but I do worry that the open world style of Zelda could get very stale
