Was both surprised and not surprised to find out halfway through my playthrough that this was made by HAL because man this game has that fantastic polish, quality, and attention to detail that we used to see all the time with Nintendo games. It felt so good to play a Nintendo game that was filled with such creativity again. I really like this game. Had no expectations going in and ended up having a blast. 100% fun inside and out. Great GBA style with perfect gameplay, physics, and controls. This game is so fun to play because the physics and control are so on point. I’m still playing it because it’s so fun but I basically have done everything other than the treasure hunt vacation thing. Very good game, I highly recommend.

Remove the mags and this is a perfect game.

Case 1 is by far the best opening case in the series to this point, and it was interesting to piece together what was going on between the characters now and the events that took place after the previous game. While the last case had a lot of great moments and ideas, I found myself not caring about the stakes at place quite as much as I did for the last case in the previous games, so it didn't feel like it had as strong of an impact even though it was still a solid case overall.

Early 2000s office building with 90s Pixar graphics is legitimately one of my favorite vibes so I had a lotta fun with this. I also really enjoyed all of the new stuff maybe even more than the base game, except for the b* which got old pretty fast, although it still had some good moments. But yeah I think I got all the endings, might play more tho just to be in the world and maybe find a Easter egg I haven’t seen before but for the most part I am .done with this one. I beat a new game!!! Wow!!! Suck my nards Keverage!!!

Finished the first game and it owned. Was working on the second game but I kept falling asleep.

I have a 60 episode let’s play of this game that will never see the light of day

Played this during business school

This game has like a perfect atmosphere

Actually still holds up well, unlike so many classic fantasy JRPGs. Chrono Trigger is timeless.

I was starting to believe I didn't like 3D platformers anymore until this game came out, which instead just made me realize I hadn't played one of this caliber in a long time. Fun world designs, tight physics, and an enjoyable new gameplay gimmick that worked extremely well.

I don't know if I can definitively say that this game is better or worse than OoT as a whole, but the creepier aesthetic always vibed with me a bit more. The 3 day cycle adds a cool sense or urgency without too much stress considering it's easy enough to restart the next loop, and I haven't personally played any game since this where this kind of gameplay loop has been executed nearly as well.

How did this game make me care so much about these geometrical shapes????????

Unironically one of the better games on the Wii.

There's a few good ideas and designs sprinkled throughout the game, but otherwise it's so incredibly bland and uninspired. Like if there was two additional years of development and this foundation was fleshed out and refined, this could have been a good game.

Five of the six Pokémon on my team were new to this generation, because I actually quite liked some of them. However, I caught most early on and then basically kept the same team throughout the entire game, as I didn't feel much incentive to "catching them all". Despite these early pickups lacking various typing coverages, I was still able to breeze through the game pretty easily.

Most components of the game had the issue of being okay but unpolished. The one component that stands out as the most egregious however is the game's story. You spend almost the entirety of the game with no real antagonist organization, and when it does finally show up, it's over pretty quickly. There's some lore dropped throughout, but it's all very basic.

If this game released even just a decade ago, it would have probably gotten away with having these flaws and with being incredibly boring, but this series continues to coast and be left in the dust of more modern RPGs and games in general.
