this shit kinda ass but it's also gas

I struggle to find something that impedes my enjoyment on a consistent basis like I could in CS1 and 2, It's very well paced, the new class VII is utterly fantastic, doing away with the biggest issue of CS1 and 2 (the massive main cast) and focusing on a smaller core group, while giving the old class VII a place as secondary cast members, it's brilliant really. The game does wonders for Rean as a protagonist, portraying his struggle of the burden placed on him and the revelations he learned from the prior game. And yes, I did clap every time I saw a character I recognized. I am pleased easily! the game is just kino, I didn't mention the combat but that's also a really strong aspect, it's nowhere near as mind numbing as CS1 and maintains a strong balance of Crafts and Arts effeciency, plus the new Brave Orders are a great addition that finally make BP worth something. It's raw!

I cannot say in full confidence that i am a fan of Persona 5. And I also cannot say i'm a fan of Persona 4. I have felt.. distant the series for quite some time. I felt like i was a very stereotypical elitist type, that I'd never grasp what made the newer titles click for new fans. Playing through Royal revitalized passion in myself that I last felt playing Persona 2 and 3, despite not making strides in changing the original story, the new content and the way it weaves into preexisting content was simply masterful, some of the best the series has seen. I am happy to have fallen back in love with a franchise that inspired me so many years ago

It's great until the finale pulls 3 villains out of it's ass and expects you to care at all

Fantastic use of reused assets and locations to create an intimate story experience that's still unlike anything in the series, with one of the best OST in the series as well

Still holds up remarkably well with arguably the most balanced and interesting weapon sandbox in the series. Fantastic score from Marty o Donnell and an excellent foundation for the franchise to frow
