Hunting Games Ranked
Not gonna call them MH Clones anymore coz it makes it sound like they're inferior to the source when almost all of them pretty much blow MH out of the water with how hard they've strived to innovate and break new grounds in this genre. TLDR, all the other franchises are definitely worth giving a shot especially if you're a fan of MH but even if you aren't you're still likely to find something fun in 1 or 2 series here.

Has the most gigantic leap in terms of improvements from its previous entry. Pulled off open world for the first time in this genre and did it insanely well

The best MH game under the console team just for kickstarting the best MH Gen as well as for how experimental it was. Also the last time said experiments weren't absolutely awful

Beats out the rest of the list just for being probably the most experimental one here even if it fails to deliver on how promising the whole concept is.

i know it's getting characters but still, seeing the credits roll right after beating that peak fight really hits home
@tarnkappe I could probably go on for my entire lifespan about why IB is just the absolute worst but I'd sum it up by the whole game feeling like it was created by people who hate MH at it's core. Also yea, I do agree with feeling extremely sad when Relink ended but I just keep telling myself that with that amount of quality content especially for the price point, they definitely deserve to rest easy after the insanely good job they've done.
Wow! I agree with your list and I've been playing MH since Tri and first played God Eater on PSP back in the day. My Vita is just a Hunting/VN machine.
@ChaosZeroX I started with Tri too and I still think 3rd gen is the best in the franchise, specially with P3rd. I sadly never really tried any of the other hunting games until recently but I managed to finish p much all of them in like 2 years. I definitely wanna try the PSP versions of GE though just to really see how they managed to pack this much kino into that machine.
