I commend this game for giving the fans tons of content to play around with, with a ridiculous number of characters, stages, and customization options available. The drawback is that the gameplay is so radically different from the Budokai games that it is a completely different game.

That by itself isn't a bad thing, however, this game plays worse than Budokai 3 and for that, it makes it a lesser experience for me. I liked having to transform my character, having them slowly get stronger throughout the fight was fun. This game removes that and has them listed as separate characters in a menu. I can see why this is done, for balance, however, they then throw that balance out the window with character-specific quirks. Like androids being untrackable or the Majin Buu's slowly healing throughout the fight. These are just small changes that lessen the experience.

The big control changes are making this one of the first true "arena fighting" games, which pits you and your opponent in an open area to fight, using any and every direction imaginable. The camera for this game was way too close to your character's back and it made fighting extremely annoying and not very fun.

The game also doesn't look great, and the animation feels sluggish. To be fair, with the amount of content here I can understand why it's like this but it's not great. I think this game is not very good. There is something here, but as it is now I wouldn't bother playing it at all. There are sequels and successors out that are more worth your time, play those instead.

A horror game in disguise 🥸 The transitions and transformation for each 1M or so let's me realize how far we've come as a society. I do sometimes wish our planet gets rolled up

The golden standard of what a roguelike should be. Thanks, Daddy Edmund Mcmillan.

the most expensive prank ever pulled by a game company

I was going to replay this game up to when the Midgar section ends because that's when the remake finished, as I wanted to remind myself of why I enjoy this game's version of this section compared to the new version which got it all so wrong, and the fact I'd only played this game for the first time 2 months ago made me think I'd not really have the energy to replay a game so fresh in my mind. However, I was enjoying myself so much I ended up completing the game all over again, with to my surprise not a single moment feeling boring on repeat.

The original Final Fantasy 7 just has something other games don't, as it's not often I'm willing to put an extra 18 hours into a game when I only wanted to put 6 hours into it. It's fair to say this game has quickly become one of my favourite of all time, and even after just replaying it I look forward to replaying it again in the future.

Extremely comfy, but simplistic to a fault,

It’s strange how to they made the villains so cartoonishly evil, as everyone knows that sexual predators, plagiarists, mafia bosses, corrupt CEOs, immoral prosecutors, and tyrannical politicians don’t exist in real life.

Such a unique Zelda game. Solid dungeons and overworld. Great use transformation masks. The best use of world-building and the best soundtrack of any Zelda game. Oddly replayable, depending on how you make use of the time-traveling. If I had a couple of issues, I'd say the bosses were the weakest part of the game and the standard mask could have had a lot more utility.

Pretty good. The story didn't really grab me that much until the last act, which was great. I feel like the boss fights were also a tad uninspired. For the love of god, not every third-person action game needs to have a parry system.
