Play this if you hate yourself. God knows I do.
Controls are jank, rooms all look the same, you only spawn with 30 health despite your maximum being able to go into the 100s making grinding insanely annoying, and there just isn't much here to play for.
Biggest praise I can give it is being more open ended than Zero Mission and it trying something new for the time.

Nice level design, nice (if rigid), controls, wonderful artstyle, pretty cool bosses, and neat collectables. This game is pretty good, though you practically need to 100% it to get full enjoyment. My main problem with it is probably game being too easy if you know what you're doing but I admittedly haven't tried any self imposed challenge.

There's no winning with this one. You either get to the end quickly and get no enjoyment due to the barren levels or you spend time scouring the entire level for one specific thing instead of finding multiple goodies to be happy about like previous Sonic titles. The way I played was simply trying to get enough rings to get into the special stages at the end and it was ok enough but I only put up with it for the wonderful graphics and soundtrack, which are admittedly top notch.

This game is in contention with X4 as the best X series game imo, while this game lacks the other playable character that game has it makes up for it with 0 bad levels and difficulty that won't be impossible for any newcomer but can still be difficult enough to die if you're being too careless. Level design is the best in the series, soundtrack remains well, the dash is now given to you at the start not forcing you into any set stage first, there just isn't much I can fault this for. Only real complaint here is the special weapons are weak and the final bosses are pretty lame, top tier otherwise.

I find it hard to come up with a rating for UT, it's less of a game and more like an experience. The experience itself is very cool and gets meta, not even in the fourth wall breaky way, but as in the way you change your view on the game is literally apart of the narrative if you complete the game in the way (I believe it was) intended to be. It's a satirization of RPGs that I enjoy even as someone not very invested in the genre, the writing and characters are excellent. The actual gameplay itself is simple but fun, I just wish more was done with it as it feels like there's a ton of wasted potential. Incredible soundtrack, but did you even need me to tell you that? Play if you've somehow managed to avoid significant spoilers, but if you already know what happens you don't really need to play this game.

It's fine, but it really feels like the worst of the classic Megaman series to me. My main problem is just moving feels super, SUPER slow compared to the games before it, I believe this to be a result of the slide not being as instant and the sprite in general being bigger relative to everything else so it appears slower. That one thing really ruins it for me when nothing else is very appealing over any of the other games, it's fine for what it is but I wouldn't recommend it over any other Classic Megaman game.

To get it out of the way, this is a Megaman game. If you enjoyed any of the prequels or sequels you can get something out of this one. That being said, I think this is one of the worst in the series. Pretty much all of the weapons that aren't named Shadow Blade or Top Spin (seriously) are practically useless, the level design fails to leave an impression, and the bosses in this game largely only have one or two attacks with minimal unpredictable that makes them boring once you figure them out. Also I really hate the 4 Doc Robo stages after completing the first 8 stages, they always make me want to stop playing (and most of the time I do) since the levels don't feel different enough from what you just got done doing with two boss fights with one not having a checkpoint before it meaning you have to replay up to that point if you die. Also Rush Jet is just busted making a lot of the game skippable. Like I said, since this is a Megaman game it's not atrocious or anything but I have little reason to play it over any other.

What this game lacks in exploration and freedom, it makes up for with a good (if sometimes unforgiving) difficulty curve and more action focused gameplay. Wonderful aesthetic too, GBA has great graphics and the creepy atmosphere present really compliments Metrid My main problem with it is that there are times where the path forward is very unintuitive, like just having to blow up some blocks that aren't specifically marked or anything. Aside from that no complaints, constricting but engaging and entertaining. Recommended if you like action games or metroidvanias, but don't go in expecting Super Metroid 2.

Obligatory HEAVEN CAN'T SAVE US, HELL IS A JOKE and DEATH TO ALL WHO OPPOSE ME

This game really isn't that bad. The controls are really good, only thing I can maybe complain about is the gun aiming not being the best all the time and the homing attack aim also being iffy. Level design can be admittedly pretty boring relying on you using the missions to be engaging but a lot of them are hide and seek more than anything else, I can still find enjoyment in a lot of the levels here. The story is really terribly put together due to the different paths intersecting derailing things since they didn't really take into account the different ways to get to the different levels, but as long as you don't take it too seriously it can be worth a few laughs. Guns are actually pretty cool here, taking out enemies is definitely more convenient than in Sonic Heroes and it actually makes some boss fights pretty cool (though some bosses definitely weren't designed with this in mind lol) but they don't make combat engaging, just quick enough to where it won't be a pace breaker. Missions like I stated earlier can feel very hide and seeky a lot of the time which can get annoying, ESPECIALLY if you're only missing one or two but they don't ruin the whole game. Graphically this is probably the best looking Sonic game from this generation, the only thing that stands out as weird is the Shadow Android models but that's pretty minor. Voice acting too is pretty good here believe it or not, it isn't excellent or anything but there was nothing that stood out as bad like Tails in sa2, sometimes the damns can come off as forced but that just makes it better really. I really appreciate the comedically edgy aesthetic of this game, it's complimented by the music too it's just really fun to indulge in.
StH is definitely flawed and lacking in really fleshing out its ideas but if you can look past that I think you can find a pretty enjoyable game here.

Good, basic, solid platformer title. Can't really say much, it's just a pretty nice time but nothing really extra.

I really like this game! None of the mechanics are super deep or anything but at least for a first playthrough you're never going to get bored of enemy encounters unless you're in areas you've already been in due to the battle system actually involving more than just pressing buttons in menus like other RPGs. Difficulty is done pretty well, the final boss took me a few tries and some other fights gave me trouble but nothing was stupidly hard or rage inducing. I never really had to grind in this game either, so that's an obvious plus. This games graphics are absolutely wonderful, possibly the best out of any Mario title. The writing is fun and light hearted and while none of it is laugh out loud funny it tries to be comedic and I think it succeeds. I don't really have complaints, the only thing I can think of is I couldn't figure out where to go to get my hammer upgraded but I still don't know if that was necessarily the game's fault or me being stupid. If you've ever liked an RPG check this game out, even if you aren't typically a fond of the genre, it's a good time.

It's a fine racing game. I never bothered to unlock absolutely everything but from the stuff I did it was somewhat of a fun challenge, lack of stages really drags this game down along with character balance. The stages that are here though are actually pretty good, Radiant Emerald is probably the worst (and an obvious rainbow road wannabe) but is still fun enough.

Nice, basic Sonic fun. This game doesn't do much to stand out but it does what it does well, the main new thing it has is the way it handles 2D playable Amy which I actually really like, she's my favorite character to play as here. Special stages are terrible though.

Yeah, this is the best Classic Megaman, no contest.
Levels are great, they each have distinct things unique to them that still keep the focus and gameplay the same. Only two I have any sort of problem with are Hornet Man and Jewel Man but with the ladder it's really only one jump and it's not like the entirety of HM's level is bad. Boss balancing is good here, there are some that are easier than others (Galaxy Man, Splash Woman) but none is an impossible first pick like some other games in the series, and no Wily Boss comes off as bs like ones only weak to one weapon or the abominable Yellow Devil Mk-II. I have consistently found use for EVERY ROBOT MASTER WEAPON which is actually huge, no other game even comes close to that.
Megaman 9 doesn't do anything new, but it takes all the good things Megaman has and uses them to great effect and the result is wonderful.

It's kind of impressive how bad they made this game considering its predecessor. This game legitimately does nothing that makes me enjoy it aside from letting me play with physics that are mostly the same from Advance 1. Levels are bad, bosses are bad, it really just has nothing going for it.
